Mashallah Waqas Bhai..... Seeing your posts it seems like you are next in queue in great photographers after Mobeen Bhai and Asif Bhai. Just watched your entire Swat tour on Flickr and have found it really awesome. Some of the shots captured are really breathtaking. May Allah shine you more. Yeah, i also do believe k you should buy a DSLR camera now and also start taking classes from Mobeen Bhai.......lolz... By the way, my name is also Waqas.

My Plan is

Day 0: Flight from Karachi, Late Night arrival in Pindi then Daewoo to Mengora

Day 1: Early Morning arrival in Mengora, Move towards Kalam with Sight seeing of Fizaghat, Madian and Bahrain. Night Stay in Kalam

Day 2: Explore Kalam, Kalam Forest, Ushu Glacier, Saifullah Lake, Nasrullah Lake, Mahudand Lake. Night Stay in Kalam

Day 3: Early Morning leaves Kalam, Short stays at Miandam or Shingrai Waterfall, then to Malam Jabba or White Palace. Return to Mengora for Latenight Daewoo towards Pindi

Day 4: Early Morning Arrival in Pindi then Train to Karachi.

Day 5: Karachi arrival around evening

Just simple things to ask ...
Is it achievable in terms of time ?
What would be the suitable modes of Transportation from Mengora to Kalam and Kalam to upside.

Thanks for the link Bro. I will try to check them out. The Flickr pics are just awesome yar. You should visit north often as it will shine up your skills. I was particularly interested in Nathia Gali and Murree pics as i have a thing for these places. The Neelum is another my favorite spot that attracts me a lot. Mobeen Bhai's Kashmir tour was great and he had shared various awesome pics. Your pic set was different in a way k you have selected a small area and then described it in detail.

Aoa All!
I am reviving an old convo concerning trip to Swat Valley. I plan b/w 8-12 Apr 17 with friends. This thread by Mr Mohd. Waqas of May 2014 caught my eye. I really liked and appreciate his input.

Most likely my itinirary would be as follows:-
8 Apr 17 (Sat) - Lahore to Malakand (enroute Takht Bhai), Night stay at Fort.
9 Apr 17 (Sun) - Malakand to Kalam (enroute visit Bahrain), Night stay at Kalam.
10 Apr 17 (Mon) - Stay at Kalam, Explore Ushu Valley, Visit Mahodan, Night stay at Kalam.
11 Apr 17 (Tue) - Kalam to Maindam (enroute Malam Jabba), Night stay at Maindam.
12 Apr 17 (Wed) - Maindam to Lahore

My quick questions would be:-
1. Condition of road upto Ushu, Maindam etc
2. Security concerns.
3. Viability of trip on own car through out (GLi/ Honda City).
4. Feasibility of plan from weather point of view.
5. Any archeological sites to be included on the way.
6. Suggestions for hotels, if any.
