I have been to gilgit baltistan thrice but not by road. I thought driving car that far would be difficult on 1000 cc car but I managed it quite well by Grace of ALLAH. You guide me well and encouraged so it was my duty to mention your name.After reaching gilgit there wasn't any issue I know where to stay and from where to hire car. The hotel in which I stay for last three years is very good it has clean air conditioned rooms and fares are economical. The taxi driver is like a brother to me he charges nominal fares to me and my family also feels comfortable with him he is a good person. Your idea about staying at juglot could have saved time but due to comfortable stay I preferred gilgit. Actually when you go with family comfort becomes your priority rather then s

I travelled to GB during summer 2018 and Astore/Rama was in my plan but I had to cancel it after I travelled on the Astore road for 3-4 KM. I was driving Honda City and after crossing the brinde on Astore road I realized that I made a wrong decision as the road was not a road but just stones on the plain bed and not even compacted, So I decided to return and cancel Rama.

I am again planning to be in GB in 2019 IA and this time around instead of touch and go, I am planning to spend some time in the remote peaceful spots like Rama, Passu, Gulmit etc.

@bilal.tariq.18041 Can you please share how much the taxi charged you for Rama round trip and also the Hotel details where you stayed with the charges?

@haroonmcs26 Can you please recommend what is the best spot to stay to do the Rama day trip in case I should not stay in Gilgit?

I stayed in gilgit continental hotel for three nights location is near river fare was 3000 per day with ac. The room service and food was good.

I paid 3500 to taxi driver and 1000 additional as tip for return trip of gilgit to ptdc rama. Jeep fares were 1800 for rama lake. The car was new corolla and we went on a.c. till astore city afterwards a.c. wasn't required.

I think you should stay in gilgit for rama day trip or if have good contact in army then "bunji house of nli" it's probably best place to stay in whole GB. There aren't any good hotels in bunji and juglot. Raikot is hot city and also.expensive due to fairy meadows mafia.

اگر آپ اپنی گاڑی کو استور تک ڈرائیو کر سکیں تو استور میں قیام کریں۔ آپ ناران سے علی الصبح روانہ ہوں اور سیدھا استور جائیں۔ سورج غروب ہونے سے کم ازکم تین گھنٹے پہلے شاہراہ قراقرم کو چھوڑ کر استور والے راستے پر روانہ ہو جائیں تو انشاء اللہ بہت ہی آسانی سے مغرب سے پہلے استور پہنچ جائیں گے۔ رات کو وہاں قیام کریں اور صبح بذریعہ جیپ راما اور راما لیک کیلئے روانہ ہوں ۔ اس طرح آپ بہت تسلی اور سکون سے ان علاقوں کو دیکھ سکیں گے۔ ورنہ قریب ترین رہائش رائے کوٹ پل پر موجود ہوٹل اور جگلوٹ ہے۔ شاہراہ قراقرم پر ہی رائے کوٹ پل سے کچھ آگے جو نانگا پربت ویو پوائنٹ آتا ہے اس کے ساتھ ہی میں نے اپنے گزشتہ ٹور میں ایک مناسب ہوٹل دیکھا تھا اگر وہاں رہائش مل سکے تو اور بہتر ہے۔
