Seriously this thread of your is tempting me to start overhauling of my lancer's 4g15, she has week compression in cylinders 2 and 3. And the thread of your is motivating me alot.

As long as it isn't consuming oil, driving smoothly, don't fidget with it. His is a 2l, parts are at an abundance, yours is a completely different story

yes this engine is of same vehicle ,,,,,, i mentioned in post as well ,,,,,,, nissan D21 ,,,,,,,,,

yes you can do it ,,,, there is nothing difficult in all that ,,,, 2 things most daring are ,,,,,,,,, pulling engine in and out , that need a chain pulley , and i hire a crane for that purpose , infect i tow the vehicle to a spot where crane parks ,,,,,,,,,,, second thing is cleaning ,,,,,,, that is most dirty job ,,,,,, rest all is fun ,,,,,,, before staring dont consider any time frame or budget in your mind ,,,,,, such jobs at home may take months to complete ,,,,,,,,

well that vehicle is with me since may 2014 ,,,,,,,, but since then i have hardly drive it 20000Km or so ,,,,,,,but engine has already been screwed and need a proper overhaul ,,,,,,,it need 10-12 sessions of glow plug to start in early winter mornings ,,,,,, now it starts on 1st session,,,,,,,, till now havent done a road test ,,,,,, hope so tonight will take a test drive of it ,,,,,,,

@dayrider sir, i guess you are right! but when ever i get a chance to overhaul it i will follow this thread as an example!
BTW here in Karachi Mitsubishi Parts are available easily you just need to know where to look for them!

yes dear truck is rolling smoothly ,,,,,,, every thing fitted back and responding as good as it should be ,,,,,,smooth and silent and throttle response is improved many many times,,,,,,,, i drive almost 100km without speedometer ,,,,,,, just now fixing the speedometer as well ,,,,,,,,

almost every thing done ,,,,,, except few small things which will be fixed soon ,,,,, car is drive able now ,,,,,,,radiator still filled with water , will replace it with some good coolant soon ,,,,fans are on auto and i have conformed its working ,,,,,,luckily no oil leak in engine bay ,,,,,,,,

every thing done now ,,,,,, thanks for every one who support and encourage me ,,,,,, especially capsat for proving me plastigage ,,,,,,,,, also want to say that i left with almost half of plastigage with me ,,,,,,,, i got it as a gift from capsat , and after using i want to pass it on to some one who need it free of cost ,,,,,,,,, so any one need just let me know ,,,,,,,,,,,, but offer valid only for those who are are overhauling engine at there home and doing all that as a DIY ,,,,,,,,

i can overhaul it for you free of cost if you can manage to send it here in islamabad ,,,,,,,,pack it in wooded box made of plywood and send by "bilte" via some local truck stop ,,,,,,,,,

10% of it is finely measuring and careful torquing.

that last 10% takes 90% of the the entire time.

"how hard can that be" was a reference to Jeremy Clarkson sir ji.. for a learned person like you this four pot is like a piece of cake.

And you are absolutely right about the last 10%. It is not just tightening the bolts up, the thing should be as per spec for the thing to run smoothly, like this 2L the gentleman here just rebuilt.
