Toyota Altis 2006

Dear All, i have recently purchased Toyota Altis 2006 manual luckly in a very good condition.Now i want to change its engine oil and filter.Before that i never owned any other car except from suzuki.
Can anyone kindly help me out that which engine oil and filter i have to use and after how many kilometers i have to change engine oil and filter? and how many litters it cxonsume and what is the estimated price of oil and filter.and if someone is from sialkot than kindly help me at which mechanic or workshop i have to visit as my previous workshop only deals with suzuki card.

Many congrats on ur purchase! I have also had the experience of owning a 06 model Altis automatic and I still miss driving it. Its a very good car. Has a perfect suspension for our driving conditions and packs in quite a punch when u push the pedal if the need arises. What is the current ODO meter reading coz the type of oil best suited for it will depend on the mileage. I would say if your car is over 80,000 km driven, better go for toyota petron oil in 15W30. If it is around 50-80,000 km driven, u can go for a semi synthetic oil maybe the total/shell 5W30 or even toyotas 10W30...the altis needs around 4.25 litres of engine oil. Better get the oil and filter changed from toyota dealership.

Go for Toyota motor oil 10-30 with genuine oil filter and air filters

interval should be like this if your driving is on longs than it should oil should be replaced and 3000-3500 kms
and if your driving is in city than you can fetch itto 5000kms always replace oil filter with oil change and and
air filter should be replaced at 6000kms

if your car is driven more than 50000kms than replace its transmission oil too

@Megatron current reading is 77425 so i guess i should go for 15w30 synthetic oil and yes i will share the pictures within a day or two

and one thing more is there any specific filter for altis or i can replace it with anyone available in the market?

No specific filter replace it with orignal oil filter similar to old one

Correct your post.Oil change interval 5000km on long route and 2000-3000 in the city.

for the first time use toyota petron 20w50 and change it after 1500kms this will help in cleaning of your engine then use a fully synthetic engine oil like shell helix ultra or havoline fully synthetic
