Traditional auto is still more reliable. Though CVT is close or catching up fast. Not a ton of difference if both are maintained.
But like you said, mechanics and even 3s ruin CVTs when changing oil.
So, really work hard to find someone who can do it using this procedure. Or experiment it on your own.
Traditional auto transmission is only available in city prosmatec and GLI / Altis 1.6. both are quite reliable, with Altis auto tranny the most reliable I'd say.
You don't have much choice. Grande is CVT. A lot of new cars are coming up with CVT. Difficult to pick n choose.
Go with whatever car you like and stay careful when changing oil if CVT.
