Pakistani engineering at its best.. highly unsafe though.
I dont understand that why dont these guys fabricate their own work tools if they have to deal with such things on a regular basis, How difficult is it to make an engine sling and tilter - we have got a bunch of machinists and welders in nearly every city of Pakistan.
I used to see this in heavy truck mechanics too - they would employ human labour to move heavy parts, which should be moved either on dollies or on a chain block.
