Recently came across an 86 with plastic trim wheel Arches just the way you have it on 86 GT, it was a Special Edition, can any one confirm that they were original factory fitted or GT converted. And how much should I pay for it. Its in excellent condition, original colour inside and out, original 16valve Auto.

Its not SE saloon, SE saloon have brown tainted mirrors and interior was also brown in colour or the owner of this car had changed the mirrors.if you have a pic of interior it can be justify that its GT or not.
Price of car depend upon in which city you are.
Honestly there was no GT model of ae80 & ee80 sedan,GT model was in ae86 and ae82 while ae80 had DX,GL and SE.

The pics are for reference, I dont have the pics of the SE but it does have a brown interior and brown windows. The only thing that confuses me is the trim on arches (see Pic 3) which to my knowledge were on GT only or if Im wrong then the SE car is ok.

Your right but bro "twin cam 16" means twin cam engine having16 valve "4a or 4e series" while ae80 came with 8 valve engine and ee80 with 12 valve

And as you said that interior is brown in colour then it's SE saloon.

They are asking for 7lacs, its just the trim on the wheel arches that confuses me, as Ive seen them only on GT twin-cam and not on any SE model. Its Auto too, seats are normal too, not GT style. Its Lahore reg.

It's an 85 se saloon may be GT but the person demand is too high 7 lacs wow even it's an auto but not more then 4 lacs in lahore.

Just as I thought,because only in peshawar the price of ae80 is high.
But still it is not more then 5 or 5.50 lacs because in 5 we get a fully modified ae80.

I have been noticing the increasing number of AE 86 day by day. Best fusion of classic and modern era with modified engines.
I have got 87 corolla 2000 quota..

Now another question, better should come from experience than knowledge, how much are these cars durable? Never had an 86 before, always it was Honda, but now looking for a change, was looking for Corolla 1988 GT or Limited but cant find one in good condition at all, so 86 is my next choice. One thing should be kept in mind in answering my question that I go for my job and cover around 35 to 40 km *2 daily (weekdays). Would it do the travelling job for me with less of a headache and maintenance costs.
For the car I might offer 6Lacs, would that be OK and see what happens?

Bro 35 to 40 km is not a big deal for this car as I said before I own ae80 with 4af jdm engine,i drive very rashly daily but still I doesn't need any work before me my father drive it above then 100 km daily and give no problem for 4 to 5 years but after almost 5 years my dads overall the car including engine.
Parts or ae80 are very easily available and less expensive so it's not a big deal to replace a part.
6 lacs was too much bro better find another one but still it's your money you choice.
