Depends upon your choice that you can bear the khajal khawari or not.
Parts of ae80 is expensive then ae90 availability depends upon from which city you will pick parts.
Ae90 is stronger platform then ae80 but have its own pros and cons. Actually it solely depends upon which shape you like.
Ae80 has its own charm and so do ae90

Thats 205 in rear .....you can see how low it is........ it goes more low then this on bump but doesnot touch

I think i vl go with ae90 eyes closed Thinking of starting it with a 4AGE 20v BT with velcocity stacks n much more ..!! Hope i can find a car in 300k bracket

depends upon the chassis....if chassis originally equipped with A series engine then yes it's bolt on

AE86 is small lightweight coupe. Focused on Corolla Levin. AE80/EE80 is 4 door sedan. EE80 came with 2E and AE80 came with 2A and 3A. AE86 came with 4AGE rwd

Ae85/86 also comes with 3A.
Both ae80 and ae85/86 weights same.
Ae85/86 comes in hatchback and coupe.
Both hatchback and coupe comes with sprinter trueno and corolla levin version. And each have facelifts year wise. Each ae85/86 is 2 doors Rwd platform.
It's a perfectly balanced car. It's also known as "Hachiroku" means 86.
I read in magazine about ae85/86 that "toyota just got lucky ".
It's Japanese favourite drift car including drift king Keiichi Tsuchiya. He also got an ae86 sprinter trueno swapped with matted 7afe and 4age BT pumping 200hp N/A

I respect AE80 chasis but i like AE90 more. More like a personal choice but AE90 chasis is more beefed up. Better brakes traction etc

Yes of course it's a matter of choice
Ae90 weights much more then ae80 and also more then ae101 on paper.
And that's where ae80 gets advantage
