It is installed internally.
Cabin does not become an oven when you open the door after car is parked in sun. In my porch fist rays of sun hit the car from rear and by 8:30 am when I open the door of my car heat used to leap at me. Today was the first morning that it did not happen.
AC cooling of this car, in fact even my 9th Generation Corolla had been great till the last 10th year in the worst heatwaves, but now I do not feel sunlight penetrating and burning skin of my hands, forearms and face. No matter how strong is the sunlight and temp is 43c one does not feel scorching by sun on road.
Yes a cooler cabin means, AC has to work less and I am very comfortable at 26c setting.
I feel money well spent.
