so after following this forum I have been convinced to switch from Taglon 5w50 to Total Quartz 9000 5w30 (will be taking my 2017 FL Grande for 30k maintenance this week). I emailed IMC if using outside oil would void the warranty and the reply I got was "...that all API (American Petroleum Institute) Grade Brand oils which meet OEM quality and performance standards are safe to use in Toyota vehicles. For warranty related terms and conditions, we would request you to please refer to your warranty booklet.." So I guess it's safe to use Total Quartz 9000 now while keeping the warranty intact.
This pic is is causing another confusion. According to it 5w-30 is good till 10°c while our temp in summers is well above 40
Number before W is your cold start thing. Second nunber is viscosity...and its as per engine. Nothing tondo eith ambient temperature really since engine temp will be higher tham summer temperature anyways even in winters
Warranty signed..no issues with using oil of your choice
I am talking about the arrows in the pic. The maximum for 5w-30 oil is at 10°c.
That no more matters if u are using recommended grade. 5w-30 and even 0w-20 is good in full summers
Jazak Allah khair dear
I have had 2.OD 2009 model with Behtreen fuel efficiency and I sold it in 2k18
Yes, it's great. Though I'm stuck up on the part of fuel average some people claim it to be higher than 21Km / 1L and some say it only gives 15km/1L and not any higher than that.
Well it depend on your foot if you are light on it,it definitely gives 20 to 21 otherwise 14 to 15 I drove 2.OD for 9 years and in that time period i didn’t faced any issue with the car
Why did you sell it though since it was working just fine? Did you upgrade to another Corolla, I assume?
These arrows which show the range of temperature in which an oil can be used depends on the Engine internals and clearances as well.
A 5w30 oil will have a different range of temperature for lets say a Mazda and different for a Toyota.
Yeah I upgraded to grande
Guys in serious need of help back in 2014 i booked two corolla’s but unfortunately had to get rid of them due to need of cash Without taking deliveries. But now came to know Via fbr assets verification that both the cars are registered on my name. What can i do?
U should have somw selling receipts? U can then be safe... secondly these cars don't belong to you..in worst vase, fbr can asl to take that asset, tell them ok take it ...dont worry
I only booked those cars at toyota walton. And they sold both of them. I have nothing neither i took deliveries of the vehicles. Worst part is both cars are also registered on my name, one at isb excise and other at kpk excise.
No need to worry at all.
But God forbade if both cars are used for unethical practices than their are issues.
Booked cara doesn't mean registered in your name as well. U can give an application to excise as well with your sale.deeds copy
I have verified from excise website Of isb and kpk both cars are registered on my name... i am thinking to launch fir but i don’t have any sort of document...
