Altis 1.6 - 25,000km service from Toyota dealership.

a) Do, I need to change the Oil as Toyota asks to shift to their other oil
b) What else do I require apart from oil/filter change. Also, to mention here that I didn't opt for Engine tuning on 20,000 km as recommended by the technicians.

Shift to 5w-30. I shifted on my second oil to Quartz 9000. Toyota oils here are crap

have u used the 5w30 oil on high speeds at motorway in summer? any reservations?

No issues. My old civic 2013 was used on Honda Genuine 5W30 till 150k kms then i sold it. All its mileage was on Lahore-Islamabad motorway and speeds 120-160km/h. Engine was in top notch condition didn’t reduce even drop of oil. Now my brother is using 2019 civic on 0W20 Honda Genuine Oil and car makes 4-5 trips to lahore from islamabad monthly. Oil changed at 5000kms.

Can't love it more. Reset at refueling. Total urban drive on the most congested and messy expressway, the worst of Islamabad.Oil is Taglon 5W-50. I must say fuel average of Grande is best in class.

I guess they are planning to clear GLI stock at earliest. Today i met one of my friends working for IMC and he told that new Corolla may got delayed till 2021, and current Grande will continue till economic situation improves.

Generally the company would be thinking that people here in Pakistan look at their cars as an investment that goes up unfortunately due to falling rupee so Indus probably doesn’t want to put people who have recently purchased their cars at a disadvantage otherwise people will start predicting that trend and stop buying cars given the situation. So they always increase their prices or increase some features and look for the price decrease at an absolute last resort. Now given that dollar is reducing and their margins are increasing but sales decreasing so they have some options for free like registration and so on and might give a feature or two more soon to continue this model for another few months .... sad but true
