Hows ur 0w-20 going? Any consumption ? Although 5w-30 proved very good..wanma try 0w-20

It's going great so far, almost run it 5,000 kms and plan to run it another couples of thousand kms. Total claims it can run for 10,000 kms, but I would not test it to this far.

Consumption has been not much different than Taglon 5w-50. It has been giving me 14 kms/lit in urban drive. You must have seen my worksheets.

Nowadays I am driving it just 8 kms per day after every second day to fetch fresh milk so the avg it is giving now 11-12 despite no traffic. So in the short runs the avg drops.

When my daily run was 60 kms per day, even when half of it was in extremely congested and broken roads it gave 14.

If you are satisfied with 5w-30 keep that because then you will have to buy 200 ml additional which is not a problem if you go to some reputable lube shop, you can get it. But outlet should have to be reliable.

While you can get 5w-30 in a liter pack also.

If you can manage that trying 0w-20 does not harm anything.

Are you guys pouring to 4 liters instead of 4.2 liters? Is it safe? I recently poured 4.2L, 5W-30. Also, do you think that 0W-20 would be better off for weather like Karachi?

No 4.2L must be used i guess...atleast what i m doing. Shell 0w-20 and havoline 0w-20 has 1L packs available. Total only has 1L pack in 5w-30

Not me, but many people just empty 4 lit dabba and it works.

0w-20 can be used everywhere in all weathers as it covers temperature ranges and temperature extremes in Pakistan also.

Why did you prefer 0w-20 Grade Oil over 5w-30? Any specific reason or just a personal preference?

1. It is latest grade recommended by Toyota and other manufacturers the world over.
2. It gives best protection at startups which are the most critical time when most of engine wear and tear occurs, so it helps increase engine life and prevent start up wear and tear.
3. It reaches more quickly to all parts and through narrow engine clearances so gives better protection.
4. Better fuel efficiency and lesser emissions, means less clogging of catalytic converter.

I think these are enough reasons. Plus drive feels butter smooth, very less engine noises.

4L worked fine for me too, I ran 2,000 on it and didn't feel any difference in drive and fuel average. However, sticking to the safer side, I poured 200ml more to make it 4.2L, the drive was still the same.

Well, I feel like I should opt for 0W-20, it sounds like a really good choice, I want to see how would it feel like to drive on that.

What was your experience with Euro Star Tires in your 1.6 Altis? Did the drive at some point, urged you to switch to other brands’ tires?

To me, I feel extra uncomfortable driving in those. Also, they create a lot of tire noise inside the cabin. And the look of those tires from another angle look as if they are barely holding the weight of the car. They always give me second thoughts about my tire pressure as they always look deflated, even though they are not. That ”mushroomy” look is so not good looking.

I did not feel any problem with Euros. They worked fine. I kept 1.6 and Grande for one year each and drove them 18,000 and 10,000 kms respectively. Yokos on facelift are just OK, 19/20 difference with Euros.

I always drive with music playing so outside or road noises don't bother me much.

Can any one help me, please confirm is there any (gennuine) wiring available in the rear deck / shelf for rear speakers in XLI 2020? as i want to add speakers in rear.

Touch screen already Installed couple of months back, it has the option for rear speakers.

I kept it 3.7 for the entire 134.000 kms and when sold the car after 10 years engine was just as good as of a 10,000 kms driven car.

I had same issue with FL grande but Toyota guy greezed all rubbers under front suspensions n voice on speed breakers gone. Front seat rattles but the Toyota launched recall campaign on their website u should visit n check chasis no

yes i went to the dealership and they fixed the noise so its fine now , but the talk was of quality and this is a quality issue that to in a new car, the recall campain was of prefl corollas not facelift ones and i think the sound is gone now, and even if it does come i dont care now and thats not the only sound ,the driver side seat has started making sound when you lean back on it just like the creaking sound an old chair makes when you sit on it and thats something to do with the seat itself but like i said i dont care, and yes this proves that this car is no good when it comes to quality too.
