Hmmmm .... So what to do then?

Cooling is fine but the RPMs drop to 600 n return to 900+ with AC on when clutch is depressed .....

W/o AC, all seems fine

The AC compressor is Denso AC Compressor (SCSA06C-447220-6365)

I don't know which was the old one ..

Had a chat with many Corolla owners these past days. Three guys had got their ACs replaced under warranty due to a dead compressor.

Is this chronic with Corollas or just coincidence?

i know a member he had the same problem. getting the throttle body service from toyota solved his problem

do you hold any stake in toyota that you are taking this as sarcasm? Its not new, manufacturers do make mistakes and really screwed up ones too.

Yes Toyota may have forgot to put the full quantity of oil required - its called a mistake - thats why the concept of "recall" is implemented, If you look into "fault remedies" booklet given to dealerships, it does contain such items. I have a copy of the old W124 mercedes benz. It states in a paragraph that certain models on the assembly line have wrong wiring placement of the low washer and low coolant lights - rectify when the car comes in for service.Its not new - and if you are SO IN LOVE with the Holy piousness of Toyota that they cannot make a mistake - take off the rosy glasses. As the Pakistani corolla is being built with Pakistani sourced A/C units - its faults cannot be linked to international recalls for A/C units.The correct way of knowing the oil information would be the manufacturer itself, linking back to their suppliers. Correct diagnosis on a personal level can be done by dismantling the A/C unit when correctly working - draining the oil from every part and measuring the quantity.

Show some respect to Zulfiqar bhai, unlike the baboon of an AC mechanic that you have, he really knows what he's talking about. Instead of showing your arrogant attitude, ask Zulfiqar bhai to further clarify himself. Seems you need to take the car to a specialised AC shop in your area (ask fellow members) to completely fix your problem.

naah - dont need to be lawyer here, I used to get a lot of such customers like this too - this effect was multiplied if their cars came from Germany. (according to them - HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE) - when shown documentary evidence of it and that their "auction bought" car was never corrected when it was in its own country - you have to pay for it - because the local dealer will not help

The AC is working perfectly. It's you guys hot heads that need the cooling ...

I don't own shares in Toyota, neither will I show any respect for someone who's so full of conceit. The buildup of my attitude can be judged from the flow of this thread ...

Problem stands in abeyance ... If there's a better AC mechanic in Rawalpindi, please let me know ..

hmm - you seemed to have got offended by the "mistake" statement and then went about blowing it up too. Relax man - you have bought a commercially produced product and if it shows a pattern problem its not your problem its the manufacturers problem - and you should chew their heads on it.

Hello Friends I need some advice I have Toyota Corolla GLI 2007 model. The problem that I'm facing is when I switch ON the A/C Strange krick krick noise start coming from the engine and when I switch it off the noise ends. Also when the car is standing and RMP is below 1000 it affects the cooling as I press accelerator while standing it be chills the A/C air. And while driving the the A/C is working excellent. So the main issues are;
1).Krick krick noise from the engine/compressor when switch ON A/C
2).A/C performance goes down unless I press accelerate and increase RMA above 1000.

Your compressor clutch is probably slipping, check air gap and also check the condition of its pressure plate, if its marked with grooves, install a new one with correct gap and properly burnish it (requires A/C cycling about 30 times in 20 minutes at 2000 rpm)
