Sports edition is Lancer Evolution (Also called EVO) and its expensive. I have seen people selling Same year (2005) model in around 25-45 lacs... So, I guess it is out of your price range.
I recently bought 257,000 driven Lancer GL 2006 model in 650K and still its just excellent. Original 1.3 engine which is very smooth and soundless and powerful still. I recently completed a trip of 130 Kms, out of which approx 105 kms were done on AC and it consumed approx 8 liters of fuel. So its approx 16 km/liter average. There were 5 people in the car with considerable luggage. I guess it is doing pretty good
