I got my car tuned from Toyota and the Maf cleaned but never noticed any difference.

however i got my injectors cleaned (RS.2,000) from I think Magic Motors in Model town Lahore and smoothness really increased. I have as yet to check its mileage.

i also had problem of long sulf and toyota charged 9,000 for checking and replacing fuel filter etc but problem was not solved. I recently changed fuel pump and problem went away.

I went to Montgomery and purchased platinum tipped spark plugs instead of normal ones.

Running of my car got better with it. After 1.5 years just recently visited Toyota for a tune up and they replaced them with normal ones saying that these are not suitable for your car ???

My platinum plugs were working just fine, and now i feel there is a loss of quickness / spiritness of my car

Highway milage 12-13 with ac at 100-110 kmph.

In city it varies between 8 and 9 - with AC.

Changed fuel filter. Big difference in accelration and drive is smooth now.

Our carpet has been very dirty after rain AND Baqra Eid.
Can anyone guide how to open seats and remove carpet so that we can clean ourselves at home... DIY

@brownrose78: it's a few mins job.

1. Removed seats, front first, for back seat just the floor seat.

2. Remove the sail covers, followed centre pillar covers (all plastic here)

3. Arms rest box nicely no rush.

4. Removed the black foot rest next to clutch paddle.

5. Carpet floor gently,making sure not to pull it harsh may lead torn carpet at some resting place.

Tadaaaa!!!!! Carpet is out now, brite surf, need flat floor next to the main gate of the house no kids around and lots of water ,,, dumm laga Kay for next 30mins.... .

No pictures but i have old filter with me. It was 15 min job. Filter cost 250 PKR.

Dear Waqar sb,

Fuel filter for 250 ?. I brought for 660 china one from Montgomery and later on Toyota had me replace with original one for 6800 or so. but my problem of long sulf was not solved and only solved on replacing fuel pump about a month back .

Before the whole assembly could be purchased new for around 4,000 some years back and this was supposed to be changed after 40,000 km.

Now unless needed, do not take out the assembly or fuel filter unless there is a need to . The fuel pump get affected and the return valves stop giving the proper fuel pressure

Dear all

Today I went to Ahsan Zakir autos as there was some noise on pressing the brakes.

They changed the brake bushes and total cost was 2,600, but the noise is still there .

What should be done about it ? The braking is not affected till now

Check if wheel hub is not bent, did you get any suspension related work done recently?

Wheel hub is not bent. No suspension work has been performed for quite a while. The problem is in the PANJA . There are 4 bolts fitted in it and they made new teflon bush and fitted it in it. But still noise is there.

Went to Zakir Autos again but could not generate the noise which has decreased, but come more in the morning.

As i could not prove the noise, that's why Zakir did not touch my car. He said drive for 15 days and if you can show me the noise then I will correct the brakes without labour charges.
