Sounds like a plan. Let's see when is getting repainted. I have it with me for mechanical repairs.

Doing something or the other everyday.

Got 2 out of 4 engine foundations replaced today. The vibrations are minimal but still not zero.

Maybe il get the other 2 replaced aswell. Although the mechanic told me not too replace them and drive as it is. With the first 2 they were also telling me to replace one by one. As we unscrewed them both were broken.

The other 2 seem in better condition since they are visible front and and the front right one.

While mechanics were doing this. Got new door checkers, and chrome handles installed.

I have to install door cards. Will take out time to do that so that the interior is done with.

I have ordered a new gear knob and gear lever dust cover should arrive by tomorrow or Saturday latest.

After that I will get an inter cleaning job done.

Repaint might be scheduled for after Eid.

ECT doesn't works like the over drive button. OD used to shift one gear down in older cars that was used for over taking on hiways.

Newer transmission do that when you hi rev the car.

This ECT button in 2005 to 2008 Corolla is 2 drive modes normal and power. Nothing beyond that.

Done with fitting the first door panel. Had to put alot of mind in roza, these panels require steel plates since local panels can be screwed directly in to the door panels.

The guy I'm buying parts from is giving everything when I'm asking. For example first he sent door cards. Later I asked about steel plates. Now the pocket screws are missing.

The local doors are fitted 2 screw holes behind. Markets closed today so had some time.

Just that the door is closing a bit too tightly now. Maybe I haven't done something right. Will check or get it done professionally.

For these lights to turn on, complete door wiring needs to be changed or else altered. I am skipping door lights for now.

Took the car to bahria town today just for a long drive.

The car makes whistling sounds at speeds 90/100 keeps getting louder.

Earlier I thought it was some kind of speed warning but I got scary on lyari express way. (Very loud) can't figure if its door rubbers or where exactly.

Anyone else faced this ?

check side mirrors cover, loose fitment,

undercarriage plastic sheets

door arch plastic sheet..

Faced a similar issue in an indus Corolla I had restored from ground up. Engine overhaul, interior swap with jdm, full car bake-painted with sikkens paint system. Vehicle looked real nice in-person but used to make a horrible high frequency sound like a whistle at highway around 100 km/h speeds.

After much work figured out the culprit was the area near left front door mirror. There was a small gap there due to rubber moulding being torn off from there which acted like a small resonation chamber.

Take a piece of foam and inspect such tiny gaps near the front windshield, door mirrors, fenders. Stick a piece of foam wherever you see such gaps and test drive. Do this two three times and you will find the culprit. Then you can fix it for good.

Thankyou. Will get someone else to sit with me and see where the sound gets loud from. I was assuming its coming from behind the meter.

We replaced the windscreen. And the car had after market rubber packing glued by samad bond on all 4 doors.

I have removed those extra rubbers.

Will check for other rubber fitments aswell.

I have reordered back door panels. They were in bad condition. Installed the ones that came as a set front and back but not satisfied will replace once I have them.

Got gear lever dust cover and gear knob aswell.

Sunday utilized nicely.
