Does any one have any experience of over-spilling of fuel with this gen? I went to a renowned and trusted petrol station and asked for full tank. The moment he crossed 40 litre i asked him if meter was alright? Soon after i saw petrol flowing on ground.
After travelling on motorway for about 170km, i asked next station guy to fill with care but same happened there also after 16 litres.
Fuel gauge also is stuck now at full after further 150kms.

1- Is this problem with overflow pipe or tank is leak near top?

2- is it usual for fuel gauge to go faulty after such incident?

the tank takes 40 ltrs in addition to reserve quantity.

Your SE was very nice but probably this one was more practical for you and also less worrisome at rush hours.

It is a great blessing of Allah that you're back.
For 9th and 10th everything is indeed different.
But please compare 10 and 11 as under the hood they are completely same. Fuse box, air filter, computer box, coolant box, washer fluid box and even suspension I think.
Am I right?

I think you should get the fuel tank inspected and may be the fuel gauge sending unit lever stuck in the fuel tank, so best thing is to get fuel tank checked

Brother...they are similar yet totally different.

For example: 9th gen altis and 10th gen pre FL altis shared same engines n gear boxes i.e. 1zzfe however 10th gen gear level had manual gear control option but lacked ect power mode...

Later FL 10ge got 2zr fe 1.6 engine with exactly same 4at gear box at 9th gen with same shifter..

11 gen grande got 1zrfe 1.8 with CVT...

All body parts trims dashboards...seats etc r different but similar...like all gen have 4 headlights...same suspension type i.e. semi independent suspension...

9th gen sitting on 15 inch wheels is even taller than Camry...

After 9th gen wheel hub nuts changed to 5 from 4..in addition to sunroof options...

Dont know exact details abt xli/gli etc as not having hands on experience...

Does anyone know about engine decarbonizing ? There is a process to clean piston and valves by spraying water into intake. But there is a myth also that it causes hydrolock. I personally have done it on corolla and mehran using hand sprayer bottle. Raised RPM to 2000 and injected 500ml water in small quantity (like 10ml after 10-15 seconds). Engine emitted lot of steam with blackish water droplets.

My wife and daughter miss the SE, where as me very happy with my Xli.

Next ride should have CVT , now for me these new 1.3cc and 1.6cc rollas are similar to the current Xli I have.

Yes. Water goes into intake, turns into steam and clean valves and pistons. All the residue and excess steam comes out of exhaust.
This method is not recommended for catalytic system.

No i meant the carbon n rust u saw dislodged from exhaust
