dear PW bros... i m going to buy 2006 Xli rolla ... in good condition, white color no touchups,milage abt 45k..

wt u suggest the price .... owner is asking 4 965K..

plz need ur professional suggestions ... i dont know much abt it coz i havin Alto.. n never kept rolla or honda.. the choice should be economical as i m a student.

or wt shud i buy B/w 850/900K ... need ur professional views n suggestions....

i was out of pakistan for some time and now i returned and my question is
1 what is the diference in the engines of xli and gli 2009 to 2010 shape are they the same or not?
2 which one is more fast if there is any difference
3 city produces 98hp how much hp does the corolla gli produces? is it faster than a new vtec city or not on stock engine
4 in the 1300cc category is gli the fastest? if no than which is the fastest and gli comes on which number?
5 how are the shocks of gli are they comfortable than civic or not?
6 the older shape of corolla was having poor brakes how are the brakes in this new shape? is there abs or not?
7 is there an engine swap posible in this new shape to make the car faster or not
8 is the car stable at high speeds like 140 to 160?
9 what are the 0 to 100 timings and top speed?
10 what is the mileage on cng and petrol does it gives good mileage on petrol or is it a good idea to convert it to cng
11 what is vvti? what is its use? is it better than vtec or same as vtec?
12 before this i was having a khyber and its roadgrip was outclass how is the roadgrip of gli if compared with khyber?

1...they are same no diff

2...no diff so both equal

3...85hp..its slower then vtec..lost by 1 car gap

4...vtec is 1st then old gli..new 1 is slower because of more weight

5...they are soft...

6...gli has abs..and xli has poor brakes then old model

7...swap..1.8 or a 2.4

8...no local crap is stable at that much speed.

9...0-100 around 11 seconds and top speed dont know will be around 180zzz

10...on petrol around 13km/L with nice driving ..no idea on CNg..but so far toyota engine are best for CNg purpose

11...vvti and Vtec are different things...

12...batter then khyber...if you drive it like a sedan car with maximum speed of 70km in city

Corolla have toughness and durability so its ruling but current Diesel Price Hike made Diesel Corolla out of market car as every one is going for CNG and thn waiting in Queues as i saw peoples with formal suiting waiting in long queues specially b4 and after No CNG days.

i see city and civic fan club threads with like 50+ pages, here i only see 7, which is odd considering that rolla sells way more than civic or city.

I was a big Corolla fan up until 2003. After experiencing one of the worst brakes, my faith in corolla diminished. My favourite was always a 1998 1.6 GLI. I repeatedly get the urge of selling my 2009 City and buy the classic 1998 Gli again.
