That is nothing, swapping the engine and using the car till i am satisfied with mechanical side then i will jump on the body side of issues, i have explained that when i started this forum, no point doing anything to the body till i am satisfied with the engine and handling.

good job on engine so far but sir how would you be satisfied with engine performance+handling+road grip when the body & main frame of the car is not strengthened according to the engine power. The point is that you have rust on main frame & if there is a visible rust then there must be hidden rust also which may be is more serious then you can think. You have a big motor in there with lots of power & for these kind of motors you need to have a strong frame & body... Please don't mind just sharing my point of view.

Hi thank you for your concerns, rust is present and it will be sorted out later the engine is sitting on front GATRI as they call it which is in best condition. The engine has been placed in a way that the weight is distributed properly. Rust to body will not affect its performance, steering or grip as the structure, chassis, front GAtri all in perfect condition.

Also, like others have mentioned, rust is a menace in such cars and needs to be properly dealt with. Rusted areas on the body allow for more flex than already present in the body. Do use braces wherever necessary and possible so as to reduce the flex.

Thank you for your reply bro, yes rust is a bit of problem but Alhamdulilah it is only on body not on important functional areas, i will deal with it after checking everything mechanical wise. The car is fitted with Booster brakes, Rear diff has been changed and front disc has been changed besides that i have not done anything do you recommend anything ?

I still need to get my exhaust made so hopefully that is the second step, thinking of dual exhaust but not sure how to properly set it up, two pipes from front to back or just single pipe which splits in to two.

In the pictures, the rear diff has drum brakes. Do try to upgrade them to disc brakes. Cross-drilled / slotted rotors would help in braking. Try to use Mark II JZX90 or JZX110's brake setup as it has been designed to handle the weight of a car heavier than yours. About the exhaust setup, imo, you should join the two pipes from the front to a single resonator and then divide it at the back and install two mufflers on each side.

The hubs would need to be changed and would require precision work for them to perfectly align. So no, it is not going to be an easy job but something worthwhile when done properly. You would need an experienced mechanic to have it done and no compromise should be done during the conversion because the brakes are vital components. JZX90 is the variant of Mark II that came in the 90s factory fitted with a jz motor. You could look for brakes from that variant. There was a complete rear sub frame/diff setup for sale at Pakwheels which came with the brakes as well. You could look into buying that and maybe use the diff itself later down the road if you plan to upgrade it. About the exhaust, yes, you would require a center box packed with glass wool to muffle the sound.
