I already am encountering Tesla owners as the cars have hit used car dealers.
Car rolls in with literally wobbling front wheels due to shot balljoints and control arm bushings which also have completely balded the front tires - and car has wornout brakes. Ask for repair quote, job is quoted - then every single time I get to hear.
"But electric cars dont even have these parts - that was their selling point that the car has no usual car parts"
Now explain what words should I use to explain them that replacing the ICE with an EM doesnt magically make the suspension, brakes, tires, etc. go away
same case with the AC unit on the car, people assume that the AC in it is some magic thing that just cools the car interior. Refusing to believe that it has the usual compressor, expansion device and two heat exchangers.
Or if the coolant pump fails/breaks causing major overheating issues of the power bank, - their retort is that its an EM, it doesnt have coolant - until I show them and still they refuse and head to a Tesla shop which then gives a quote along with a chair and some whiskey to gulp it down.
Then they come back and ask if I can get it done in an hour (wth is wrong with you!, Tesla parts have a 3 week lead time)
