a couple of ideas/suggestions brother.
1. the body is old and it will show the signs of its age once you strip its paint.strengthen the weak points as much as u can.
2. surf rear diff is good but dont get a short ratio one.ur engine came out of a jzs161 aristo so get the diff which matches the original donor cars rear diff.u will have the power usable only than.these engines dont like shorter ratios.
3. get the best suspension available for it.import it if u have to.only with a good suspension u can put the power down.
4. get the widest rear wheels possible.at least 9 inch wide rears.and at least 265 good compound tires.
5. upgrade to 4 pot surf or prado brakes.
6. if u are keeping it auto get a good electrician to wire it up.auto is a b%^$ to wire up coz i have been there and it was pita.

Yes i do understand that the Body is OLD and once we strip it down its gonna show a lot of ageing signs, Well that chance we have to take but my goal is to NOT to cut corners and do it the right way , so we will make sure that the body is strong enough to handle the engine, Also About the Surf rear Diff, we have a concern on that and we will keep your advice in Mind.

About the wheels ... YES i am a Big fan of Wide wheels, infact i am running a 305 (rear only)on my M5 so i will try to do that same on this ... We have already planned to make room for wider wheels in the body work .

Rest hopefully as we go along i will keep on posting and I am sure different ideas and suggestions will pour it and we will keep making changes as we go along ..

nice project... looks like its gonna be a very well done fast beast... but let me say one thing ( u r an expert and u know much more then me, but still, let me say) please keep safety first... upgrade the brakes BEFORE the first test run, and add roll bars inside the cabin... roll bars may look bad, they may add hassle but they r life savers, u dont want to compromise on ur own safety, do u?

bro safety is ok bro but on the roll cage thing u should never drive a roll cage fitted vehicle without a helmet.even on a mild bump with stiffer suspension and u boink ur head on the cage and u will be out.in case of an accident the same cage can seriously hurt u.and driving a street car with a helmet on sure looks stupid.
the best safety u can have is an intelligent right foot.u should know when to floor it and when to let it go.i have seen many rwd cars destroyed in front of my eyes because the driver had never driven a rwd car and didnt know what to do.and some of them were stupid so didnt let go of the throttle coz of their egos and some juest didnt have the idea that only 100 hp rwd is enough to enjoy some scary moments.

man im a huge fan of cressidas had one some time back and am gonna get another soon inshallah.best of luck with ur project.and hey do get a good original bucket seat for the driver.it does make a lot of difference.
