im planning to do the same and i dont plan to change the suspension. what do you think? isnt it better if the cars lighter? the real thing is i dont have a big budget like you.
bro also tell me about the engine foundations? which ones did you use? did you any custom made foundations or just the ones which came with the 2jz?

UPDATE :

The Engine is in the Car now .. Almost all the Wirings have been done .. InshAllah would be starting in very soon ... Power steering has been installed .. an new Bigger radiator has been installed also for better cooling ...

After the engine has been debugged it will be pulled out again and then the Body work and rest of the Mechanical work would commence ..

bro if ur doing soo much, i would recommend you electric shocks which come in some of the models of the suspensions ur using. The 96 - 98 surf dint have the airbags so i think it wont be much of a problem and im sure thats gonna be another luxury in dream car.

@ Abdullah ... Well the Swap is not as complicated as it looks, no modification the to firewall needed, only new engine mounts and the base sub frame needs to be changed, also the battery has to be replaced cuz of no space other that that no MAJOR changes, the engine bay is preety long and wide.

@ Wasif Ali .. Thanks bro, well as far as painting the engine bay is concerned firstly we have to make the engine run along with all the modifications and then we will pull the engine out and then get the engine bay painted, this way we can paint modified areas areas aswell.

@khanrocks: just a suggestion abt body mods... u should get flares for the wheels arches... will look hot with wider stance and wheels... kinda like the bosozuko style...

Oh and another thing that just came to my mind... The intercooler can be mounted behind the grill infront of the radiator... will give it a cleaner look...

Thanks bro for the valued suggestions, Actually u are correct we will place the rear axle from either a Hiace or a Surf , By doing that it will have a wider wheel base, better road handling, traction and yeah a Meaner Muscle look. After that we have to induce the wheel arches to make it look cleaner.

As far as the inter cooler is concerned, we have left some space on purpose in between the radiator and intercooler (where usually the AC condenser is) for better air flow and cooling ....
