AlhamdulilaH... Got my Fortuner delivered Yesterday night on Thursday in Phantom Brown..Parked at the Dealership for Insurance & Registration formalities!
Dear all need suggestions & advice over upgrading stock 265/60/18s with 285/60/18. I plan to do it tomorrow as to save depreciation over tyre exchange. Revo owners may also share their experiences on stock tyres and also on after market ones.
Requirements:
1.More sidewall for comfort & reliability.
2. More traction & beefy looks but not over do.
3. Quieter & better comparative fuel economy.

Specifically give views and suggestions regarding mounting 285/60/18 stock land cruiser V8 tyres size on stock Fortuner 18 alloy wheels at exchange quotations difference of 4 tyres = Rs.71000

Well if you want to go to off road, then buy quality stuff like, BF Goodrich all terrain,

If not, then stock tires are good enough for city driving, while size 285/75 on R18 will constitute around 33 inch tire which should be fine with wheel arches and will increase ground clearance by inch and a half.

I can assist you with insurance if you are in Lahore. I believe IGI is the best insurance company there is. I have been with them for last ten years and I find them A-okay.
