Got mine delivered yesterday after booking it on the first day........drove it some 40KMS and must say that I was not disappointed a bit........this may be because I had kept my hopes not too high...........I was not expecting it to bee fast.........especially coming from Civic X Turbo..........it feels good in a different way..........

Colour glamour is more enhanced after F1 Carnauba Wax. A must thing after 1st wash for protection and to get the best look out of your brand new...

Surprisingly New Fortuner is Longer than Prado though prado is negligible wider. Ground Clearance is significantly higher than Prado.. Interior is no comparison plus the latest tech goodies and Navigation.

Prado is completely hidden behind Fortuner. ..completely overwhelmed it in all aspects.
A TXL Prado cannot match what Fortuner offers...acceleration is all new different- gear shifts are so apt. Value for Money in Pakistan Market.

All seats are not automatic like prado txl
no sun roof.
Please chek 3rd row seats.becouse i have cheked and only kids can sit in fortuner but prado have more leg space then fortuner in 3rd row.
More head room
No competition in both of them like prado and landcruser

The fact that it would be a 2009-2010 model which is 7 years old does not work out, at least for me. That was the main factor that persuaded me to go for the fortuner.

Anyways I feel bumps pretty harshly through the steering wheel and the steering feels loose while going over a bumpy road especially when the steering is tilted leftwards. Any ideas what the cause would be? Is that normal for hydraulic steerings?

It's only a bunch of trolls talking back and forth keeping this thread alive by praising and trying to create hype. There's hardly any participant except 3-4 guys.
It's the angle of the picture which hides Prado behind Fortuner, I can do the same and hide Prado behind a Mehran Although the Fortuner looks good on the road on it's own and it's very well designed but it also looks narrower and smaller than the old model. It's probably because of the design and shape. It's in no way bigger than Prado. I have compared every inch starting from front seat to last row. Look at the picture that he took of the two cars from the front. Prado still looks 10 times better than Fortuner in that.

Change tyres to 285 60 18 size but before check pressure 29psi in all 4 wheels. Steering a bit heavy but well composed! !

guys kindly, don't try to compare fortunner with toyota prado. Fortunner might be good considering the price tag and goodies init but there is no comparison between the both.
yesterday went to check out one getting ready for delivery, service manager is good friend kind off. asked him to show me in detail.
trust me guys as soon as i sat init, i suddenly felt as if something is misssing quality wise. its seating position dashboard styling plastic material is no where near to parado. Even though its cluster looks very cheap quality one, even Grande has better quality cluster.
I asked service managers personal advice, he was like sir jee don't compare the comfort level and road grip of prado with this one. according to him, with five speed transmission prado can go faster than this. not sure about this statement though.
My point here is not to degrade fortunner in any means but one cant compare it with prado at all.
people kindly do not misguide other potential buyers by saying its better than parado.

I test drove Fortuner a month ago and only used paddle shifters so I could have idea of real power. Simple D mode was really pathetic and no better than the old model. While it's response is far better than old model with paddle shifters but it's still no comparison with Prado. Prado out preforms hands down in simple D mode when compared to Fortuner on paddle shifters. Fortuner might have same engine as Prado but it's only 126 bhp while Prado is 168 bhp. If Prado is switched to manual gears it performs like a car and gives hard time to even Civics, although it might not win a drag race.
The seats are smaller and the cabin feels a lot congested than Prado. Forget about suspension and comfort level, that's not even comparable.
As I mentioned it's only 3-4 guys here misguiding everyone by comparing it to Prado. Having said that Fortuner in it's own class is good and good value for money but no comparison for Prado.

Prado looks a lot bigger and elegant and propotional.
Yesterday saw the new fortuner on the road.

honestly it wasnt looking good at all.
It looked narrow and small especially with the design at the rear with the sloping roof.

Higher ground clearance with big tires and a small cramped body on top looked really abnormal.
