Allhamdolillah my vehicle was invoiced on 10th June and physically dispatched on 12th June and today I have received invoice copies for Registration and Insurance from my dealership. Insha-Allah Eid will be good this time. They said it will arrive by Friday or Saturday. Will hopefully take delivery on Monday once registered and insured. Monday would be a good date i.e. 23rd Ramzan by the Grace of Allah (SWT)

MashAllah, Mubarak i'm checking the status of my Fortuners both say Order is process. Both were booked in Feb/March. I saw your post regarding order is in process, when did your status changed or is it still the same online ?

Status is still the same online as per website.... lolz. Dealership called yesterday and said we have received dispatch email from the factory. Today they said invoice is here and asked me to collect a copy for registration number selection and insurance approval.

Diesel maintenance costs are considerably higher than petrol. On face value, diesel fuel milage is about 10% better after offsetting fuel cost difference. But oil change intervals are 3000km on average compared to 4500 to 5000km for petrol. That should be a consideration. Not to mention the increased noise.

I know i used to owned Thai Vigo 2.7vvti petrol and the maintenance was a lot cheaper than diesel vigo. Now i got Revo which is giving me average around 7.5-8km/L and Thai Vigo used to give 6-6.2km/L but its costing almost same as diesel cost is higher but diesel maintenance cost wud be a lot like almost double than petrol engine.

Is insurance compulsory when booking Fortuner?

Need some help on what floor mats I can use. Hv got the complimentary set from the dealership for the frnt 2 rows. Hv bought additional silicone / clear mats and had to buy an extra set to use the smaller pcs for the 3rd row. I hv a 5 year old who loves to sit in the 3rd row. Need a solution to keep the flooring clean as the mats move around when the middle row is tumbled and the kids r jumping in.

Also reg. the tip to drive certain mileage every month on 4x4, it is very difficult to find the right terrain when living in a city unless one can pick up a straight stretch / motoryway etc. I am a novice to 4x4 but I hv learnt that driving a conventional 4x4 w/o a center differential on asphalt can wind up the transmission. I think the previous model being an all time 4x4 had a center diff but the new fortuner is rear wheel driven and uses a transfer case to go 4x4. Any tips?

As far as my knowledge is concerned driving 4x4 on straight asphalt has no problem hence you can use it. And bro how do you know new fortuner is real wheel drive. TIA

Not at all. Its not compulsory with any car. But on bank finance and lease vehicles its a must on all cars

How does the cool box operate? I looked for the cool box on/off button when I was at show room today, but could not find the button. The staff was of no help. Does it operate with AC?

I had on/off button on top of cool box in my Prado and the performance was excellent. Can anyone comment on performance of cool box in Fortuner? Its one of the main reason why I am considering Fortuner. Ever since I sold my Prado about 2 years ago as it was getting old (2003 model), I have been missing cool box in almost every single drive. Newer model of Prado which has cool box is out of my range Rs. 9+ million. Cool box will restore the fun in long drives

There's no button in fortuner. Yes it operates with a/c, there's a vent in the cool box which you have to open for it to operate.
