Will you get the current specs fortuner or a new one expected with new features? I got a call from dealership and they said they can book fortuner for me for December but I said I need confirmation on the new specs. He said for that you have to wait for 2-3 weeks.

That's what the dealer told m .. till end of August specs will b cleared .. let's wait till August end

That would explain the booking hold. I hope new specs are cleared in next few months before my delivery month of December.

AH got booking for early December today from Sahara motors Lahore. Sales team said in case of new engine variant in future, changes will not be possible to this booking. Only that engine can be delivered that has been selected at time of booking. However if push start gets added to all variants then its possible to get it.

Secondly in case of non-payment of full amount for December delivery car new date of delivery will be March, April 2018, not Jan/feb

diesel or petrol engine is more of a personal preference i guess BUT there is no way they will deliver the outdated model or if i as a customer refuse to accept that, sure the maximum they can do is delay the delivery and updated price but they cannot force old model unless its already dispatched and in showroom but if the booking is of december and new model gets launched in october, they wont be producing old model in december when the vehicle will be invoiced

for example
i have booked the city last month, now they have launched the new (ANTENNA) model, well guess what i am getting the new city in old invoiced price (as per the dealer i booked it from)

The point is petrol will not be discontinued hence if diesel is introduced in future fresh booking will have to be done, old petrol booking cant be converted to diesel.

Considering that the price for Revo has also been raised by around 100k, and the high premiums on ready delivery, it seems this is just a case of more profits rather than any extra features.

I was at the dealership yesterday and I checked. There is not a single change. Only change is price increase

If you remember, these are the prices indus wanted to set at launch last year however dealers strongly recommended to lower them. Now after successful launch indus could not resist any longer.

Really wish some new entrants come up with their mid sized SUVs. Will be much better competition, more options for buyers, and perhaps reduced prices and premiums.

So we saved rather earned 150k by driving our fortuners for 5 months that's 30k per month plus 8 lacs premium if we wish to sell. ..even 5 to 10k driven fetching 6 lacs to 7 by dealers.

Yes the early birds were indeed lucky.
But, this sets a wrong precedent- price raised within about 6 months of product launching. What is the production capacity on Fortuner line? I think I read about 250 vehicles a month, which means hardly 1500 vehicles delivered before the price increase.

I think I read somewhere around 1100-1200 vehicles From January till June 2017. But if you exclude the launch time etc I guess you're right in saying 1500 if its a regular production in 6 months.

Has anyone noticed the fromt console armrest is wrongly placed? Like the long side should be on the driver's side rather than passenger.

Probably to make the handbrake more accessible they shrunk the armrest on one side.
