I have grande 2020 model just drove only 7000 km. But from last few days am feeling a little echo sound from left side front wheel and feel like bearings are chocked. Where as i have done complete maintenance 3 days back and dealership is saying there is problem and every thing is ok.

I had the fluid in my cvt corolla changed today. The people at the dealership didn't change the filter. And they didn't recommend it either. Should I go back and have them replace the filter or just wait till the next time I have the transmission fluid changed. They also used petrol to wash something I'm not sure what. They didn't calibrate or did any of the horsing about like some members here recommend. Should I be concerned?

The horsing about is setting the fluid level correctly. Very important for the transmission to operate properly.

they cleaned the cvt filter with fuel and re fitted it.

probably also just filled in a 4 litre cvt oil and didnt care about how much came out and how much to be filled back in.

however as per my experience they do the same in vitz cvt and there have not been any issues with this simple procedure to follow.

my take would be to religiously follow 40k change interval with this approach since it doesnt ensure complete cvt oil change so some old and new cvt oil gets mixed anyways transmission should be fine as long as u r not dragging the change interval beyond 40k kms.

I'm not sure if they changed the gasket either. For the drain plug, I suppose . Excuse me if I got it wrong though. The mechanic referred to "silicone" not sure what that was for. But now I'm a bit worried.

no need to worry as long as there is no leakage or dripping of cvt oil underneath the car.

Okay. I checked for leaks this morning and turns out that the car is leaking.... I had the tranny job done at toyota Abbottabad but live in Islamabad. Do I need to take the car to the dealership here? And will they charge me for the whole job again? This sucks.

take it to toyota dealership in isb.

ideally they should charge for the labor and new cover seal/gaskit. and i think they will also secure it with silicon just to make sure that nothing is leaking afterwards.

my mechanic does the same.

As long as you have the paperwork, Toyota dealer in isb should fix the job that Toyota Abtabad messed up. If not - then call up IMC in Karachi and speak to them about this.

Reason is - that they have a franchise, and such are part of the owning it.

i wish i had read ur thread before i just got 1.8 corolla few months back .its 2500 km driven and same problem when driven on light foot it gives very considerable jerk(15km to 20 km) and when driving in rush area its constant pain . similarly around 30 km if u lift and press accelerator with light foot there is sound its like a/c tripping ( though ac is off)....it only happens on light foot... similarly on climbing on very shallow ramp of house some times this initial jerk create problems car does not go in smooth.
Its shame if its normal behavior ..cause cvt was suppose to be smooth...i have driven and kept all local corolla before this and they were all smooth .Dealership is just telling me it normal .i fail to undestand how jerk is normal in 2022 when there was no jerk in older cars .
