You are not understanding that the system is following a learned cycle. And the fact that cvt drive like trash. I would still suggest to talk to toyota to reflash your ecu with a more "looser" drive, so the tcc locks at lesser duty cycle.
Btw. Toyota injectors and infact 90% injectors go bad after cleaning them ultrasonically. On other brands like BMW, Benz, Ford etc. etc. you have to dial in an error calibration that the U/sonic machine will print out for you as the flow rating is different from original - this is to make sure the trim readings compared to the volume of injection you see are not confusing.
This is why ultrasonic cleaning should be completely avoided at all costs for new cars, they work for oldschool pintle type large solenoid peak and hold type injectors you used to see in mid 80s cars which had poor fuel filters etc.
anyway - good luck with your diagnosis and repair. The reason I mentioned to drive it on highway was to see if the behaviour changes, this is a vital part of diagnosis - not to belittle or make fun.
