Toyota Hilux 2.5 Turbo D4D Launched

Guys; I have seen several posts about the poor performance of a D4D engine because of bad fuel quality in PK. Would the same apply to this vehicle? what would be the impact on the engine or injectors? I heard the injectors are not commonly available and are costly.

The 2.5 turbo as per the specs mentioned on the indus website, comes with alloys. What I saw on the vehicle are not even close to the definition of an alloy wheel. It may be that I saw the standard version, but can any one confirm the quality of the wheels for which an additional 125k is being invoiced to the customer.

well i think toyota indus r aware of our diesel fuel quality...they must have tested it before introducing new d4d hilux....as for the alloys rims those come with fully loaded version, u must have seen the standard version

i just booked one a while back loved em! got the fully loaded one have already a thai version but this was brand new so thought lets try this out! as i have allwyas been a hilux or vigo owner for a longtime! best machine for Pakistan!

you are right about bad diesel quality in Pakistan but D4D engine is best engine. I lived many years in thailand. people loved D4D engine then a petrol V.VTI engine. A new Vigo with 3.0L D4D price is THB 961,000/- but a 2.7 VVTI price is THB 794,000/- people run there d4d engine 480000km in thailand.(toyota motors record thailand)
D4D engine need EURO3 type diesel but here we can,t know well about this engine,High sulfur diesel will probably not be a problem if we use right engine oil . Hilux Vigo in Thailand could fill fully synthatic 5W-40 engine oil by toyota motor thailand and are changing every 5000km.
in south africa and many other countries have more bad diesel then pakistan but D4D is run great there. This engine is senstive about engine oil and first startup if we use right oil then no problem at all. i also have Vigo, i am useing shell helix ultra 5w-40 SM/CF synthetic/ caltex fully synthetic 5w-30 SM/CF and never feel a problem. when i was using a 15w-40 or 20w-50 dino oil. i always feel knock on first startup and noisy engine. but when i found synthitic engine oils the d4d engine run great.

125k? i heard the sales man saying 150k for thoose Prado Alloys and Goodyear tires.
