i have used mine now 12k KMs, feeling great with it. its my daily drive car (office, and interior sindh).
Ceramic pro coated straight after leaving the showroom, i have nicks and scratches on the bumpers which im very hopeful will be removed once it goes for maintenance and wash to ceramic pro.
Tires replaced with Dunlop Grandtrek AT23 (10mm wider 275/60). i thought the original dunlop AT20? (265/60) were performing poorly under braking. Rims kept original as not satisfied with choice at Zafcom.
Unichip installed at 6K KM's and power difference is very noticeable. i have installed map selector as well, so when i feel its not giving me the same power, i bring it back to original map, and then it feels like driving a turtle!
please note that the turtle is also very good at default map, its just that unichip gives it added power. the additional power welcoming, but ability to use it is limited in the city. taken it to interior sindh few times, and the ability to go back to top speed range is fantastic after slow down due to traffic.
- also installed K&N Airfilter, but i cant feel the difference in power.
Comfort and creature comfort: satisfied 7/10 (driver seat is comfortable but its not a sedan) you can notice the bumps.
Engine and overall vehicle performance: very satisfied 9/10
Reliability: thoroughly satisfied 9/10
Fuel efficiency: 6/10 cause i cant seem to get the fuel average people on this post are getting! i average 7-8 in the city (80% use) and on the highway its good (averaging 11-13)
issues so far: only brakes, i think there might some issue with the brakes on my unit. after 5k, there was buildup of wobble in the brakes and whining noise. brake tuning and surfacing removed the issue but i feel it coming back at 12k KMs.
i have installed soft top cover with velcro straps on the edges. its the not best available (check out carryboy's new soft cover) but its the only one i could find in karachi. its at stadium motors on sharah qaideen. price 19k.
optimum has a good tri-fold soft cover for 20k also.
overall - great experience with it. planning on installing over fenders and skid plates but waiting on Toyota announcement on the new hilux. if they launch ROCCO then might upgrade to that, otherwise this one is excellent. i have heard the one new one is only TRD version (with just body kit etc addons)
