update...over the weekend, on friday went from pindi to murree...stayed the nite there...on saturday from murree to muzzafarabad...on sunday, from mzd to ghari habibullah...from there to mansehra, abbotabad and back to pindi. super lovely scenes, super lovely drive..and supe super economy. filled the gas from mansehra, and now back here to pindi via motorway..still all 4 lites are on...heheheh

Please note that these are my personal experiences only on an engine that got replaced by the next owner. I hope other owners also wake up and help you decide.

I have another problem that needs a little more attention and if anyone can help me out ill be grateful.

A few days back the while driving on CNG the check engine light on my Platz 2002 came on. When I stopped the car turned the engine off and started again the light disappeared for some time (ten mins) but than came back on.

I took the car to Nazir Motors in G-8 and after inspection he told me that it is the O2 sensor that is malfunctioning. He added that if you mostly drive the car on CNG than you don't need to replace it as a faulty O2 sensor affect fuel consumption on petrol and driving on CNG affects the sensor. He said that I am resetting the ECU and the light should go off. The light went off but came back on after three four days. The mechanic said that an O2 sensor can cost upto Rs. 8000 if you want to replace it.

My question is that what should I do? Should I replace the sensor and is the price OK?

Please note that the check engine light comes on randomly but its frquency of turning on is increasing slowly and therefore I was concerned. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

This is my first post. Nice to see platz fan club.

I just bought Platz 2004 A/T and it got over heated yesterday. I dont know what was the cause of over heating. Please give your view about this problem.

Kindly also suggest some good platz mechanic in Lahore.

Mine did too. The fan had stopped working. Other simple reasons are less/no water and well...........what else?

I still keep the platz 2002 which I bought almost four years back. It is automatic.I dont use it much and till now, did not face any problem accept routine maintenance. I use ZIC A plus and change it after six thousand kms.
I have 55l cng cylinder.After purchase, I installed new cng kit from Lahore.
Till now on motorways or highway, it gives me kms 200 plus in one cylinder and in city, it gives 125 kms.I am still enjoying it.

He is a rip off. JUst go to Atta Wali in Chah Sultan, he has everything you need.
He is also bit expensive but tell him Kamran referred you he will give you his best price.

Yes, this is true but only for automatic transmission. Initially when I bought mine, I kept getting brake stuff done time and again till my driver realized and pointed the issue existed with A/C and CNG only. Googling found me https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/cng-lpg/139325-solution-vitz-acceleration-breaking-issue-cng. I tried and it worked despite the fact I was really bad at translating stuff to my driver who actually did the work. When I sold the car, I gave the solution printed from there along with it. But it is weird that mechanics too do not know about it and this is just why my car has changed four owners in just two years.

None that I have found reliable. You might like to post your problem in the Vitz Club because technically speaking they are both more or less the same. M sure you'll find a better solution there.
