i need to confirm that the Platz is 2005, how can i do it, papers say its 2005 but we all know they can be manipulated, is there any feature difference between 2004 and 2005 or is stamped somewhere in the car to help determine its authenticity? in engine, chasis interiror or exterior uploading the pic i found on net my car is similar to this one exept on bumper left side there is pole type thing sticking out like a flag pole, car colour is the same in picture shown here. any help in this matter is appreciated. Thank you.

1. On the back of the car is written "VVT-i" below the Platz monogram.

2. Check the front seat belts, there is a tag at the base mentioning the manufacturing date.

BTW how much did you pay for the car? when you bought it? registered or unregistered?

Thank you for your tips, the tags say made for toyota in 2004, and there is no VVTi mono under platz at the back.
I paid 780,000/-, Bought it almost 2 weeks ago.

All in all A nice car, just liked this car upon my first trial, as an impulse buyer bought it in the next couple of days:D. Have Been enjoying it ever since(H). Driving is a pleasure in this, although handling could be improved by having wider tyres i think, so will upgrade when the need arises. A few Bruises on the front Bumper nothing major, that's to be expected,previous owner had a couple of visits to Lahore. Few pics Attached

I'm sorry to say, I just don't wanna depress you buy this Platz is 2004. The price you paid is somewhat right considering the current inlflation although you may find many around 650 to 700K.

Your car is fine, don't think and bother for what has happened, enjoy life !

BTW if you've got stock Brigdestone Blizzak tires, change them asap. Go for Michellin Certis, Michellin Energy or Yokohama Aspec A300 in 175/70/R13 and alloys as well if your pocket is still heavy

Thank you brother for your consideration but i am not that easily depressed, doesn't matter to me if i bought it over priced if i like something and i need it it does not matter what conditions are attached i will have it as long as it suits me and the thing works. Since i have no problems with it no engine light on cng any longer, no tampering with meters as done on some cars i have seen here, plus its an FL car so me not too worried about overpriced.

good tip regarding tyres but i think they are Yokohoma and are new previous owner changed them 2-3 months ago, as i mostly drive in Isb so will keep these till i need to change.

my central lock of rear right door is not properly working can some one told me the mechanic of central lock in Lahore because i am living at Lahore Thokar Niaz Baig.(H)

My advice to you is to live with the problem if you can. Reason is if a mechanic opens up your door, as the panels are mostly of plastic and fabric (like my car has), he will never be able to get hem secured again properly, no matter how good he is there will be some loosening of panels/locks, which will start squeaking in a couple of days if not immediately. so don't get your door opened by any mechanic. Live with it if you can otherwise the door might start squeaking.

Dear you are absolutely right but sir I am facing this problem from last 10 days I have shown the door to Toyota workshop and one another both have opened the door penal there opinions are the centre lock motor is attached with lock so whole assembly will be change can you help me to find this passably?

You can get them from "ebay" or if you've any links in Dubai, it would be quite easier for you. You can also manage them from South Africa or Tanzania as well. Search for "Toyota Echo shocks" in ebay, it'll definitely bring fruitful results.
