You assess the engine by doing a compression test.
Take it to any reputable workshop in your city to do it. A thick engine oil alone does not mean it’s dead. Yes do use 0w20.
Low acceleration could be due to catalytic converter issue, get it inspected and try to unclog it one way or another.
Again do a physical inspection for other issues.
If it’s costing you a lot to fix it, I suggest you absorb the loss and try to sell asap.
People in Pakistan should NEVER buy a hybrid that was made before 2018.
Those cars are already have failing batteries, ABS units, cat converter issues. One ends up spending several Lakhs on repairs and even then the problem will not go away as we do not get brand new batteries and ABS units here, do not get official software and other updates required for these hybrids.
Trust me a Hybrid ends up costing way way MORE than a non hybrid car.
It’s a terrible terrible idea to buy a JDM hybrid in 2024.
Specially those manufactured before 2018.
