I have aqua 2014 model. My stupid mechenic put CVTF TC transmission fluid instead of ATF WS as recommended in the prius c user manual. I drove 250 kms on motorway with this wrong fluid. Drive was fine, I didn't notice any problem.

1. Should i again change transmission fluid to ATF WS or CVTF TC is also compatible in Aqua?

2. If its not compatible, then obviously i will get it changed asap but i want to ask about the extent of damage it might have caused in my drive of 250 km on motorway? Should i be worried for my transmission and get it checked or just replace the fluid and forget about it?

Originally fitted fog lamps switch is in the stick. However if u want to install fog lamps u can do it both ways.

1. U can get fog lamps and put them in and get second hand stick and make the conections.

2. Or u can get the lamps and make the connections with a seperate switch like i did.

Get the gearbox checked and the oil changed.

Hopefully it wouldnt have been damaged in 250 kms.

Ive seen many people using CVT for months unknowingly and the gearbbox didnt breakdown.

Can be feasible, depends on the price if the car is genuine and sound mechanically this is not a complex job, can replace both parts and get the car back the same day after testing.

Only buy a Hybrid knowing that these 2 parts need replacement every 2 to 5 years, depening on how many clicks you accumulate.

Im not sure about the width of the rims but ive got 195 tyres and boy has the road grip and handling improved. Running 15 inch wheels.

Hi, You idea will lead to safety issue, as the intended rim is too wide. look at the tire it deshaped.

5 minute idling is sufficient to charge Aqua.

Jump starting Hybrid is not good and can lead to Hybrid system issues. Its only recommended for emergency.

My car has been sitting for 15~20 days and the battery is 3/4.

It seems your 12v battery is weak or about to die better get it changed.

No time is required for charging the aqua. Just make the connections and start the source car and then start Aqua as shown in the video. This is the standard procedure as per manual and so there is no harm to the hybrid battery. Your are right that the battery was weak and got it replaced.
