In Pakistan octane rating no is 91 approx in all petrol brands... So u have to mix high octane (octane no 83-84 approx) with petrol to bring the octane no down...

So in winters one should switch to 0w or 5w oil with viscosity of 20, 30 or 40...

And in summers, 10w etc with similar viscosity...

Car knocks only during first start. After that no knocking. Using normal petrol

Speed range is 0 to 60 kmph. Used pulse and glide technique

Well they have stressed on a thinner oil i.e 0w-20 primarily for the cold start and secondary that the engine turns off time to time and its not that warm compared to a normal engine. The engine starts when you need hard acceleration and thus running at maximum rpm . I have poured in 5w-30 by shell(7k km change)in july for the same reason that we have hot summers and the car I have is 100 k driven.

Well I tried to check the transmission oil but couldn't found the dip stick. So I looked for it on the internet and did PHD on the priuc c transmission oil ... well even in america people are debating about the time of change of oil. I came to a conclusion that it should be changed between 60k-100k.
It has no dip stick and the change procedure is very simple. It's drain and pour. 3.5 quarts. The best way is to measure the drained and pour in the same amount. No need to open up the sump and change the gaskit or make a new one with silicon. SIMPLE drain and pour.
the amount is 3.5-3.7 quarts(american 946 ml) of TOYOTA WS ATF. In pakistan it's available in 1000 ml bottles

My car is 84000km driven, I got it checked from toyota Walton when I was in lahore they said no need to change its fine you can drive 25-30k safely

I m in Rawalpindi, got brake serviced from Capital motors 9th Ave, They checked throttle body it was clean like mirror, opened 1 plug it's double pin & they said it doesn't require any thing.
Oil & filter changed from Zic service station peshawar road used X7 0w-30 & original filter from Younas Autos Sadar for 400 same of Gli 2011, Using local Air filter as I was in lhr getting original clean & it fell in oil so took local for 400 from there, will change after using 5000 km original is for 2250 on younas autos.
