Normally the light needs to turn on when you switch on the car, remain on for a few seconds and then go away. And if there is an issue in traction it will turn on again
If the light stays lit since you turn on the ignition it means the car is unable to do the initial diagnostic of traction control system
Try removing the poaitive terminal of battery for around 10 mins. Then replug and start the car. See if you get through the normal process of TC light turning off in around 5 secs.
If the light stays on and doesnt turn off for even a bit after starting there is an issue with TC system and the TC system cant even detect what is wrong
If the car performs the diagnostic i.e. the tc light turns off initially and then once you start moving may come on agian that means there is loss of traction but the TC system is able to detect it.
