1. Hyper inflating the tyre between 30 to 35 psi is one of the techniques of Hyper miling mentioned in several articles published online by the automobile experts. I am not surprised if your fuel average jumped from 20km/l to 27km/l.

2. In several articles published online by the automobile experts, it is clearly written that engine life is much prolonged in a hybrid vehicle as compared to a non hybrid vehicle. The reason simply being the hybrid system runs the vehicle as well, not the engine alone all the time. Therefore in a hybrid vehicle if the odometer shows a reading of 75000 kms, you can assume that approx 50000 kms are done by the engine and 25000 kms by the battery system.
   If the hybrid system prolongs the engine life due to less running of the engine, then theorotically it should also prolong the oil and the oil filter life.

Also the japany oil was giving better milage above 30 km/l as per display. Is there better oil as compared to kixx 0w20? Or the hot weather and air condition is taking toll on km/l ?

0W20 CANT BE USED IN SUMMERS, imo

I hold the same concept:) 0W 20 is meant to be for the colder countries. Not suitable for the hot weather of Pakistan where temperature rises to 50C and the engine gets really hot.

20 is thickness of oil at full operating temperature of engine. The recommended oil thickness is 20 for prius or prius c. Checkout priuschat, and a lot of other websites.

Even in india, Suzuki is recommending 0w20 oil for there latest engine for yearly or 10000km use.

After reading several articles by the automobile experts online, what i have learned and concluded regarding engine oil is...
1. Engine oil viscosity or lubrication is shown by 2 numbers. The first number indicates the thickness or viscosity of engine oil at cold engine. and the second number indicates the viscosity at optimal engine temperature.

1. The higher the number , more viscous the engine oil and more is the lubrication efficiency.

2. It is important to understand that the Most of the automobile companies take the optimal temperature of the engine at 2 extremeties. 0C or 32F is the temperature taken by most of the companies when the engine is cold. And 37C or 100F is the temperature of the engine when it is running for some time and considered hot.

3. Now taking our climatic conditions, 0C for the cold engine is never the temperature in our atmosphere in the morning. normally its around 25C. and 37C is again not the temperature of the engine when it is running for almost an hour in 45C. Even i have travelled at 51C during summer on highways.

4. 0W 20 oil has minimal viscosity and is best suitable for hybrid cars running in cold environment where temperature rarely reaches 35C. As the climate temperature rises, so does the engine temperature. At higher temperatures the oil becomes less viscous and less lubricant. According to many experts it may even become watery in consistency. This may eventually cause the engine to loosen up in the long run if engine oil with very low viscosity is used at high temperatures.

5. However in hybrid cars , Most of the experts recommend to opt for 10W 30 only in the countries where weather is not much cold, and the extreme hot climatic conditions can turn your low viscosity engine oil to water. 10W 30 is only one step up in viscosity as compared to 0W 20 but it will be protective enough for engine, maintaining enough lubrication even when temperature rises to 50C.

Thanx umar. I poured zic 0W 20 twice in my aqua. This time i'm gonna go for 5W 30 or 10W 30 for my ride. I think its better to have your engine well lubricated in this hot beating sun at the expense of loosing probably a couple of kilometers on milage......i wont mind doing so..(H) At least i will be having a peace of mind that i dont have water running in my engine at 48 or 49C:)

In getting very low milage in my Aqua 15.8 15.9 is the max average. Initially it was 22 23 but after first service it has lowered down to 15.8 now.

What could be the reason car is driven 75000km gear oil not changed yet plugs not changed. Oil filter Oil and Air filter all changed 3 times till now.

Changed oil and everything plugs gear oil ect still getting low mileage anyone has other solution to this problem geting 15 to 16 km per litre now ....... first it was 22 24 but after first service it came down to 15 16 and still its the same.

Battery is perfect and all work done from khan motors and toyota south

Have you got your car scanned for any fault in the hybrid system??
If everything else is ok then drop in the mileage could be due to a fault in the hybrid system. In a hybrid vehicle, good mileage depends on the proper functioning of the batteries and the inverter. Either the battery is not charging properly or if charged, then its discharging rapidly.

Go to Tahir Autos at Tariq Road. If you are coming from the Allah wala chowrangi at shara e quaideen, on reaching the liberty chowk take the left. On the right hand you'll see a street with mechanics on both sides of the street. You'll have to take a u turn from next signal to enter in that street. Tahir autos will be on your right side in that street.
Mechanic's name is Tahir. His contact number is 0300 7081115. He has got the scanner for Aqua. he will be very helpful for you in this regard. You can give him my refrence. Tell him that Dr Shahbaz Shah has referred you to him. and Dr saab says....mareez ki achi tarha scanning karen....koi fault hai to us ko clear karen.....koi value change hai to usko reset kar k default pe kar dain...
