Coming to the Final Conclusion....
It is important to understand that the hybrid system works in a narrow range of RPM. Increasing the pressure on accelerator opens up the throttle body thus increasing RPM and shifting the vehicle on petrol.
When the vehicle is on petrol, your car should be so tuned up so as to make the optimal utilization of given resources (Air and Fuel Mixture and its combustion). It will give a good mileage even if u are driving most of the times on petrol with the eco mode on.
1. If the plugs are not properly gaped, you will loose a couple of km/l on your mileage.
2. If you are using heavier tyres and rims or car not properly serviced, again you will loose a couple of km/l on fuel economy.
3. If the air filter is choked or u are not using the proper air filter, again there's a loss of couple of km/l in mileage.
If in the above 3 points, any 2 or all the three are missing, then instead of getting around 22km/l in this hot beating sun, you are likely to get 15-17 km/l on your odometer.
I hope this makes task easier for all those complaining of low mileage.....
If all of the above 3 points are OK in your vehicle and theres no other apparent fault, then simply RESET the hybrid settings of your vehicle through a scanner...
Prayers for ALL.....
