In past 20 months I have faced this mileage issue with one of our 2 aquas. Engine oil, aur filter and AC filter, using Hi octane fueldo effect mileage and need to be changed every 3 months. Other factors like Gear Oil, Battery Fan or battery condition, spark plugs and computer resets have either no effect or u live with them. Toyota Central at Baloch Colony has some expertise but they rightly suggest not to temper with battery or plugs or any other components apart from engine oil, filters and hi octane. Toyota Central mechanics say hybrids are complicated. The rest of mechanics from dha comm phase2 to Tariq road really are learning but none can do anything to improve mileage. Many experts here on pakwheels claim they have Aqua mileage of 21-24 but how they can either ring hands or have a mileage of 19 km/l in summer or 21 in winter. So my advice is wait for Toyota Central or keep looking for worthwhile mechanics and pay them only when they guarantee mileage improvement.
