Dear brothers, AoA.

First, I am sorry I am new to this forum and don't know where to post this question. I bought Aqua a month ago and noticed a button under mirror control with a music note icon. I wonder what this button do along with the two small buttons underneath the same button. A picture is attached for clarity.

The music sort of button is for EV MODE.
Japanese made it because when you are driving on the elctric motor the car is almost silent. Noticed the strange sound comes from the engine when you are driving on EV mode if you press this button it will turn off that voice.

Brother go to FALAK AUTOS. It is situated on main jamshed road, just before PSO petrol pump. Arshad Sahab will be there. They deal in springs , coilovers , any thing related to cars suspension, axles etc. It is a very old shop ( about 25 years old shop). He is a very reliable person and charges are reasonable.

does the pak wheels car sure service inspect Aqua.. i need to get my Car electronic checked as the rear lights are not working and im seeing (1) ABS lights on (2) break warning in yellow and red lights on the dashboard display, while the brakes are working perfectly fine and break oil is there.

Just going through Aqua 2015 Japanese Manual and found Fuel specifications as under, need advise for this

Another item Oil 0W-16 is the most fuel saving Oil as per Aqua 2015 Japanese manual

Yeah. Thats the specs of fuel quality available in Japan. For Pakistan, *ONLY USE HIGH OCTANE FUEL ** ( no mixture ratio with regular fuel ) . Recommended fuel is Shell or Total as PSO high octane doesnot have high RON level as compared to Shell.

It will for sure give you at least 20 % more efficiency and mileage than normal fuel

Not sure about 0 - 16 efficiency in our hot climate and also might not be available here also. Never seen such specs oil yet.

Go for 0 - 30 oil and forget about everything. 0 - 20 is also good but in peak summers , go for 0 - 30 . Its available in ZIC . 0 - 30 will cover your whole year be it extreme winters or extreme summers.

Its always good for engine to use same brand and viscosity for whole year as engine and parts gets accustomed to that oil and performs even better

Any Oil above 30 viscosity is not recommended in any Japanese vehicle

I was once told by someone that High Octane is not recommended for Hybrids and to back this fact, information is available online as well on few other forums.

Agreed 100% but the forums and articles that backs this are all from people out of Pakistan.

Please also keep in mind the fuel quality in Pakistan vs the quality of fuel sold worldwide. If we get the same fuel, than definitely regular fuel is good enough but truth of the matter is our hi octane fuel quality is indeed just more or less equivalent to regular fuel available worldwide. ( Don't review the claims of fuel companies about quality here in Pakistan as they all seem to advertise as if they are providing us space shuttle fuel

I once happen to drive an aqua which had some fuel left from Japan and I was astonished to see the mileage that about 6- 8 ltres of fuel gave me because that was indeed that regular fuel which you are referring too.

It got me well passed 275 kms and it was just on last bar when I received and it was still a liter or so left when I refilled it full for the first time here which was around 35 ltres. Never got that average since than.

Is liqui moly 0W-20 is good for aqua or can i go with zic 0W-30?

I agree with most of your points but high octane, good or bad still have some extra additives/detergents etc. which may hurt the hybrid engines because these are not designed for such fuels.

I myself is using mixed ratio of pertrol and getting 22-24KM/L mostly but this time i'll try the regular fuel and will see if that makes any difference.

You may not get the true picture on one fill. Try at least 3 fills and you may see the difference in mileage.

Secondly, I myself tried normal fuel for a couple of months with 4 fills and my engine started giving me knocking sound. I immediately switched back to high octane and knocking sound vanished in just 2 fills. and my engine is now as smooth as ever. Who doesn't want cheaper fuel but not at the cost of engine issues or even lower mileage. I used to get mileage of 17 - 19 on regular fuel which is now around 21 with high octane

Never tried mixing ratio formula though. Will try some fills with this and see if that makes any difference in economy and drive.

How much ratio you go through with ? 60 - 40 with 60 of regular ?
