Salaam everyone... does anyone facing knocking issues?... My father got the car filled, don't know from which pump but it was knocking badly when the car was running on the engine at snail speeds...

What ratio of high octane and supreme should one use for this car?...

i use 30:70 in my other car... Was planning to go 40:60 for the Prius... Recommendations will be much appreciated..

Many jdm imports come with

Winter tyres

Dont use them in summer

Will bring
Low Mileage
Exrta noise in cabin
Will wear out quicker in summer
Get heated faster
Might blow on extended use on highway

Put them in a garage till next winter

Is it 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen?
If 2nd gen, i do not hear any knocking noise from my car, i use simple petrol, no high octane.. But 1 other owner had the same issue..
if you have 2nd gen, i will ask him how he got rid of the knocking issue

No Sir, its a 3 rd gen... I heard the knock when the battery was depleted and the car was running on the engine at snail speeds... On depressing the accelerator a bit more the car started knocking... Even when parking in the driveway it knocked ( slanted driveway)..

Is it a tuning issue?... Only got the oil changed after we bough the car, nothing else was touched...

No tuning issue just bad fuel,Also pour 40% of hioctane along with 60% of Normal Petrol and this issue would be resolved!

A big tip from my side and PriusChat;

Never, ever ever ever ever ever x100 run your Prius out of Petrol. It ain't like a normal car that you can just add 1-2 liter and drive off- You car will convert to EV aka battery and when battery depletes, Shutdown. All electrical- gone. And, don't try to jump start it yourself, you will fry yourself or the battery. Only Toyota can.
