No i havent done this. Didnt need to. Faced no such issue, car was fine. I have read online many times that using a spark plug gapper solves o2 reading issue.

you simply wasted time over this forum since 2009, removal of CAT converter is HAVOC for the JDM vehicles. Though cat converter does have a life span but not so short to be replaced at under 200,000 kms. Fater Cat Con Gone, it is not impossible but also not easy to get your vehicle in optimum operating conditions check with @rustam54 he will be of your help but not for free.

Looks like u need to change ur O2 sensor, no need to put back a New Cat conv, seen and drove many cars w/o Cat and they work fine, cleaning the o2 might work but if not, u need to replace it

Will have it cleaned tmrw. I talked to a mechanic at toyota. He quoted 18k-25k if I get it from toyota and 2500-3000 if I get a Kabuli one. Thankss

cleaning it will do more harm than good imo, i have heard of sensors going bad after being cleaned, these people use carb cleaner on sensors

If you don't want to install cat convertor then put a O2 sensor simulator to avoid cell light.

In my opinion, there is a chance that cable got broken during cat removal. You can rule this out by measuring voltage on the O2 sensor (it should be between 0.1 ~ 0.9V

By the way how is the fuel consumption? Worse case scenario is that your O2 sensor might be faulty and put you in limp mode, hence increase fuel consumption.
