try wd40 on centre on pully,, dont spray on belt area.

vibration when cold - check for HT cable for the plugs. do it yourself check with a soft gentle pull if any of the HT is lose in its socket

The 1KR-FE comes with a MAP sensor not a MAF sensor.

Well in my vitz the whistling sound was coming from the rear silencer box spring bolts which had gone dry , so went to the silencer shop and got the three sling bolts oiled and the sound was absolutely gone. It is very common fault in this model , so get the bolts dipped in oil and I'm sure atleast the whistling sound issue will be solved inshallah.

The High Tension Cables or leads which take current from coil to distributor (if available) and connects with the spark plugs. Simple speaking, I think, he is asking to check the power plug cables. He is asking to check if they are properly fixed and are not loose.

I think he is asking about Crankcase pully or the flywheel. Most probably he is asking to lubricate flywheel with WD40.

I had the same problem with my Vitz. But i had some serioes whistling noise in the first 3-4 kms. I changed my ATF and now its perfect alhamdulilah

Nice to hear your problem is solved. What's you vitz model? The noise used to disappear after first 3 to 4 kilometers? Did noise use to come when you shift to "P" ? Do you have a CVT transmission or AT?

It's just for a few seconds after turning the ignition and stops. Its as if the car is shuddering and trying to start then its ok normal

No boss. I got new spark plugs to change and see regarding the starting problem but today due to strike and busy with work since monday couldnt get a chance to change. Will update accordingly when I do.

Yesterday finally got a chance from my busy schedule to replace the spark plugs with Denso Iridium. Surprisingly, when I scanned and cleaned the throttle body from my mechanic last month he didnt tell me to replace the plugs as they were quite brown on the tip. Now the car is become much smoother and I can feel the difference in driving.

However, the stuttering sounds after starting the car still remains for few seconds as I noticed this morning after the car was parked overnight. Only happens after car is parked for long durations. Next will now check the battery for any problems.

You are right. Battery might be becoming weak and require change.
