The MT ECU... Oh how this thing made everything so difficult...

With the Grace of Allah Almighty...

The bonnet is closed... The engine roared and came to life...

I drove it home tonight... Allah ka lakh lakh shuker hai there were no major hiccups...

And thank you so SO soooooo much @joinami for helping me along the way... Without you all this would have not been possible...

Now, small things need to be done like fuel pump, etc...

This was no 2 day job but Allah ka shuker hai everything just came together in perfect harmony...

It may sound corny but Please, Say mashAllah... Thanks and Enjoy... I ll keep updating with any changes minor or major...

do share the price of the setup and the cost of swap as i sold my vitz to my friend and told him to go for this swap when he had felling of engine dying on him! looking forward to thread!
and i guess along with the fuel pump u'll to do down-piping with slightly bigger dia for better exaust and pic

The engine initially, last glimpses

Stripped face...

The engine chained to be taken out...

Yep, thats 1szfe with automatic transmission...

The engine all prepped and ready to go in...

Looking at the manual shifter just brings out the child in me...

The 1nzfe goin in finally, had a delay because of the clutch cylinder...

And here it is inside, bolt on fit with original mounts and no stress on the chassis... I will be procuring a strut bar for added rigidity...

ECU, Engine and preferably the gearbox (Different final )... Your mounts will be same since 2nz and 1nz are exactly the same...

I don't think there is much else you will have to do... However do get a quote from someone experienced as all this is theoretical on my behalf...

I was told the transmission is of a Vitz itself... And yes the mounts were changed to hold the engine in place...

Great to see a 1nz swap here. Especially when I'm planning it myself. I would like to know a few details though if you dont mind.

1. The Ecu, you mentioned that it was a nightmare to source and on my recent trip to mithu ka ahaata, the ecus that I saw were for an automatic tranny mostly. Where did you source the ecu from?
2. Could you please tell me the name and the location of the kabariya you got the engine from?
3. About the wiring, was the wiring loom uncut or did the electricians alter the loom?
4. Were the O2 sensors replaced? Is it running on both the O2 sensors or just one?
5. Since yours is a recent swap, I would be grateful if you can pm me the cost incurred in the swap so I can compare it to the rates that I got.

And lastly, since we're both in Islamabad, if its possible lets meet up some time so I can check out your swap as it'll help me with my mine.
