Sorry dear...Didn't remember the code. He was a reliable dealer recommended by my cousin, so i just asked him to give the genuine one which was "Made in Thailand" if i remember correctly, and the brand was perhaps "Guard". Pardon my oblivious nature . The low quality (Rs. 200) was labeled as "Made in Japan".

FL package is good decision to take but keep in mind its 35 to 40k expensive then the simple one. Ya u can change the headunit of FL package and they arent OEM of toyota. That will have to be checked that if its only GPS navi or DVD player. Dont think so it'll support all radio channels, u'll have to install a card in it and then u'll b able to receive all channels. All these showroom owners change the headunits. The only thing u have to heck is the headunit should be clean wid no faded buttons and should play dvds+rear cam.

Hello everyone.

Guyz I recently bought a Vitz 2004.
Previously I was using a Cultus. After driving a Vitz I came to know what I was misssing.
I will post the pics of my car very soon aswell.
But at this time I am planing to install RPM meter. Kindly guide me. Can it be done? Does it work properly? and from where can I get it installed properly?

There is no need for welding at all when removing the CAT converter. Only non-professionals will go for welding and spoil everything. I recommend professionals for the job. It is petrol imported in December 07. It has beige interior.

Kindly tell me how important is it to remove the catalatic convertor. Will it help & in what way?

How much did you pay for it ? I'm curious because i also bought 2004 F from Lahore in June this year (registered March 2008) for exactly Rs.600k.

About Cat removal, if it is giving you an average of 14+, i don't think you need to remove it urgently. Depends mostly on how much km it has done with petrol in Pakistan. Now or later, you'll have to remove the cat eventually, except if you are going to convert it on CNG.

As for rpm meter (revcounter), @Vitzrulez posted some pics of his some pages back. He must be in a better position to guide you in this regard.

it has no push button start facility ... is it same in all vitz ?

i m facing some problems

the lower back is too low and when more than 3 ppl are in the car the car touches the ground.

the pick is very low in both cng and petrol

the radiator sign is on while the car is running.

it does not get start in first try.

how to use the etc music system.. i mean the dvd and tv in the car.

is the ac speed lower than corrola 2000 ac.

kindly help me in this regard

Guard is made in Pakistan isnot?
I have seen urdu on it as far as i rememeber. Used to had guard in my Cultus and everyone suggested thats the best in Mkt . Costed around double than the SGP.

I wont mind complete Kit either But the shopkeeper I went to said their are no H4 HIDS in purple available.So if you can confirm it. Kit is same for every colour. Its just the bulbs that change.

Push Button start is optional and doesnot comes in all

I have driven with four ppls [Average weight 70kg each] at back with cng but didnot even touched on breaker. May be your car got 13" rims

WIth me it got a nice pickup both cng and petrol. Infact not much difference in pickup in both.You need to go through tuning

Its called Engine check light i Guess - It is on if you are running your car on CNG. ATleast this is what every one told me

Have you checked battery terminals ? they mite be loose.
Or may be you need to replace the battery.

Went to Nazir Automobiles today. He said car is perfect , no issue. Just I need to change the ABS Sensor. Can any 1 take a picture of the meter with every light on so i can know how many things are on meter . I dont see any temperature indication.

Hi guyz, I just bought a manual 2002 vitz. Its 64000 km done on the clock and its a full option car. Being a new user of vitz and specially toyota in 1000 cc class, please guide me regarding certain things.

1. The car pick up at the launch is very slow. Means car take enough throttle and power to keep it going. Why so?

2. I just got installed Landi cng kit with 55 kg cylinder. The same problem lies in it also.

To make things more clearer to you. What i think is that my car will not be able to go to even Murree on Cng.
Due to this problem the consumption is also a little bit high.
The clutch and pressure is OK...

As soon a rpm crosses 4000 revs. The car pick becomes absoluttely fine, even on CNG. Please also guide me regarding that catalic converter and resonater bottle, which one to remove for better exaust.

The temperature indication comes only when the temperature gets too high. Its like thermometer symbol i guess. You have the new model Vitz, so please download the Owners' Manual for 2007 which is readily available on net (try google). It will answer your question of how many lamps are there on the meter, and perhaps many more too.
About the Oil Filter, i don't remember witnessing any Urdu written on it; and i got it for Rs. 300.

If it's check engine light then it comes after CNG conversion which hasn't been done professionally. As far as i know, it comes with CNG because of a signal from the Oxygen sensor in the exhaust. There is a very good thread on CNG issues by @fyq :

Please share your views regarding removing catalyic converters from the car. Is it a cylincar guy job or a mecanical job. I have read Shams comments in this thread but still couldnt understand that who will remove the cats from my car and what is its procedure...???
