hey .a.salam, well i have a vitz 2001/shape but its 2002,, and at the vitz owners club i was told that the vitz has cat convertors, one after the headers, and one in the first small (dholki) but today i went to the silencer wala, he said that, this model has one cat,convertor, and in the dholki, so he recomended to change the dholki, for 600rs,, or get a pipe for 250rs.

i am considering buying a vitz 2005 onwards model...i need some help and advise on what to look for,wot to avoid,what parts and features to check..this wil b my first ever imported car and my dads not too sure if all can b found out about a car so hes reluctant.. i also want to kno if it works fine on cng...i heard it has cvt like the city vario...does that cause issues??

For your CAT issue call Danish mechanic he is allocated near Allah chowk at tariq rd. 03002975023 and 03212399023.

@rafay, they dunt only remove it but also, put a new dholki or pipe as required.

and horn, yar i bought the magazine one before this one, that was jst too loud but during service water wnt in it and u noe the rest. so this tym i decided to go for a new one, wnt to buy hella for 2100,,, but after listning both of them lyked bosch,,, the shop walla insisted to get hella, but i liked bosch, got it for 1400, he was asking 1500, but i noe faddi bhai at optimum to salam dua k chaker mein he gave it..... kheir atleast em happy with it (pessa kharch kia haina hhehe)

On CAT Removal.

Tht CAT is actually there to convert more toxic substances into lesser toxic substance. You remove it here in Pakistan because you have more percentage of lead in the petrol which ultimately results in a chocked CAT which blocks your exhaust system. In simple words..your engine breathe-out lesser. The result is.. your acceleration and mileage decrease only to some extent.

yaar just go to a reliable person who would take the responsibility if he breaks something else:P THAT is all wht you should worry abt. There is no rocket science involved in CAT removal. Neither it helps in the car perform faster if its there nor does it affect your car in anyway if you remove it. I many more got it removed this way..

Just make sure tht no particles are left inside and clean the inner surface before welding it back.

@rafay, ur the man buddy, thats jst what i wanted to noe, as some people said there are 2 cats in this vitz, my cylicer guy told me 2 change this (the dholki) marked in the pic, wid a new one

the blue mark is that oil coz ive also seen there in my car and thought theres a gasket leakage, coz i got the chamber opened wen my oil stick broke

• and ure rite theres no rocket sceince involved in it and the speed also dosnet increases, but atleast if its choked my car may gimme a average of more than or atleast 10, as it gave before, now its giving me, around 7 or 8

Yes changing the dholki with a pipe is also a good option. Do what ever is more convenient to you. InshAllah you'll again be getting the same mileage.

Although it looks like that it is oil but this photo is of the 2nd day of the car...when i bought it so i don't really know. I haven't noticed any leakage..up till now btw. Just the water from the AC sometimes..

Take some snaps when you get your CAT removed.

Yes CNG can be installed in Vitz 05+ and works perfectly fine if you get it installed from the right place and person.

I'd like to tell you that all these questions are answered countless times before in this thread and the whole forum. Although I want to help but not when the other person doesn't want to help himself first. My humble advise to you; Spend some time reading this thread and I'm sure not only will you get all your questions answered but will also come to know things which otherwise you would have asked later.

I think you can apply common sense here.. You can see the pipe is coming out from the engine bay and right after tht there's a dholki..then again the pipe and finally the exhaust. Abhi ye nikal lo..baad mein doosra milay ga tou wo bhi nikaal lein ge

last day i have removed my CAT. and after that my Vitz sound is horrible. i m very disturbed about this. can you give me any suggestion that how can i remove or decrease the cars sound.
