can any bdy plz comment on vitz performance on cng

Vitz performance on CNG is OK. not bad at all. But when your car is running on CNG and AC is switched ON then your car will give problem when you drive from zero KM/Hr.. but once car is pushed then you can switch on the AC and it'll work fine. I was facing this problem on CNG but now its working perfectly allright from 0 KM/HR to 120KM/HR. I have no issues with CNG yet.

Regarding FM, I have tried to enhance FM frequency by installing an FM Kit, usually costs Rs. 150/- and is easy to install as no wiring is required to be altered. It is an electronic kit that fits between the antena wire and the radio. But it did not help and the electrician told that it will not work with Vitz. However, you can try if it works with your radio.

Second solution that I have got is FM Modulator. It is a wonderful substitute to FM Radio and MP3 players without changing the original console and radio/CD player. FM Modulator actually transmit the signasl to various frequencies which are actually available in every radio ranging from 87 - 107. It works through USB Memory, SD Card, MP3 Player etc and supports MP3 format. It works from cigarette Lighter socket and with Memory stick of 1GB you can store hundreds of songs. You can select next songs, control volume through remote control. This costs around Rs. 1500 onwards. However from Dubai it will cost about Rs. 1000/- The other thing you require is memory stick. You can also use your mobile FM to use in it.

And yes for LCD, this can be used for VCD player by adding VGA card and using your CD Player as VCD player. But ... this does not allow you to forward or select next song. It means if you have inserted a VCD it will run on its own from start to end, every time you start your car. This will cost you around Rs. 2500/- The other way is to place a DVD changer under your seat and you can use your LCD with full remote control. But its cost is high and may range upto Rs. 15000/-

I have a kenwood 10 cd changer which has the ability 2 play vcds but i dont know if that would work with navigation screen??
PLus any body advise where 2 get the video card???

When i bought my Vitz, it had its compressor blown up, the guy(showroom wala) replaced it with some other compressor and did some alterations as well( which i found out later). That A/c did well for a month, then it started giving me problems. When checked i leak was found in one of those black pipes. I had to change the piping three times, costed me 2500 every time since had to re-fill gas each time. Then i went to the showroom wala banged him well and got the original vitz compressor out from another vitz, and installed that. It worked fine for a month then again there was a leak this time had to rip off the complete a/c system to search for the leak .What i am saying that the A/c was the only reason i sold my vitz off not coz it costed me alot but coz of the frustration!

Well, NLC number wont work. someone will have to take the car there and get it booked. if u have someone in KHI, ask him to do u this favor or go urself and get the job done. i will check if i have some khi NLC number.
As far as dust is concerned, it was obviously dirty from the outside as it is brought in open containers. but thats what happens to all brand new cars shipped from KHI. as far interior is concerned..no damn dirt can enter inside yaar. however, u can put a cover on ur car as a further precaution.

thanx for asking bro. im looking for it in the mkt. 2 qoutations so far: 1 asked for 3500RS, other for 7K with fitting. Also contacted ALta, he gave me good suggestion of getting it done from some glassmaker using imported glass. his estimate was also around 7K. thanx to Alta. lets c wat else i find...

i wont recommend deviation from OEM i.e
150/80R 13" (Tyre pressure 31 psi)
175/65R 14" (Tyre pressure 31 psi)
185/55R 15" (Tyre pressure 30 psi)

difficult to agree with u on quality of plugs. watever plug u use, use double tip, thats what recommended by toyota. and bet me, they wont die b4 some tens of Ks. btw, why u wrote this "all these fancy plugs (like iridiums) make no difference to the 1sz-fe vitz engine". i would suggest denso double tip.

well, mine AC is EXCELLENT,ALHAMDULLILAH. u can check AC with some mechanic for:
1: if vents and fins are cleaned.
2: if gas has good pressure and is not too old
3: compressor is fine
4: dont use fresh air cooling too much.
5: higher the speed of the car, more would be the cooling
As far as FM radio is concerned, i know no issue with freq advancer.

Doesnt the Adapter require cassete player??? it sounds a good thing. i v heard its readily available on hall road Lahore.

all those turning to CNGs keep in mind that CNG definitely, definitely ruins ur engine. so b ready to spend all the CNG saving for some later time.

Vitz owner manual in english is available in Lahore. but i think its a bit costly. if any1 of u have it in eng, can he lend it to me thru courier? i will scan and make it available for download. plz, if any1 on this forum has that manual, give ur cell number.

There is a solution readily available in the market called 2.5mm to 3.5 mm converter.

The 2.5 mm male jack can be attached to you cell, while the 3.5 mm female slot will can be used for the cassette adaptor.

storm bhai there is a problem. app ney kaha key 195\50 r15 dal loo vitz main. but abhee jo vitz main tyre hai wo hai 155\80 r13 jo pic main bhee hai. ab app ney jo web batayee thee jaha sey tire measurement kartey hai waha stock tyre aur joo 195\50 r15 lagaa raha hoo to koyee fark nahee araha except the width of the tyre. ab masla wohee ata hai key phirr bhee takrayee gee neechey sey. i was thinking 2 instal 195\55 r15 aur us main 1.5 inch ya 2 inch kee front main gatex jo lagtee hai jo car ko thora sa oncha kardee thee hai wo laga loo. takey neechey sey bhee na takrayee aur tyre hub aur fender par bheee na takrayee. is barey main app ke kiya rayee hai?

Yes, the cassette adapter is inserted in the cassette player. And after calling a LOT of numbers and talking to a couple of people, I was able to talk to the right person at NLC and the car is on its way to isb. I really hope it comes here all right.

Btw, my a/c works pretty well too.

For the Vitz manual, i remember reading an Ad in the Dawn on Sunday a couple of months back by this person (forgot his name) for Vitz manual. His cell # is 0300-4006888. Maybe he still has it.

Last time I was in Rawalpindi and I checked Windscreen prices for Vitz. I dont remeber the exact prize but it was between Rs. 5000-6000. These are China made and people selling it as Japan made :).
