u r absolutey rite main bi just Logas(Bilal Bhai) ki waja se us p trust kar ke gai thi but believe me he is very bad mechanic abi tak problem hi diagnose nae ki 14000/- first visit main laga diye aur ab bi her visit main kabi 500 to kabi 400 per problem is there now i dunt know wat to do will u plz suggest me koi acha sa CNG mechanic...aur if u dunt mind ca i have ur no. so i can tell ya my problem in detail

I am new to the forum and a Vitz 2001 owner. i've changed over from cultus to vitz and experience is great. now i want to switch over to Vitz 04. Any advice @cache?

Well, there are quite a few factors thaht I need to know before I could suggest anything
1. Why do you want to switch to 2004?
2. How long have you been driving Vitz 2001?
3. Why do you think 2004 is a better experience, drive and/or any other attribute wise?

i wanna buy vitz model 2004 in jan/feb ! but my friend told me that model 2004 obviously will not b imported by then coz of 3 year rule !
so ultimatly the price of 2004 model rises , how much the price rise? to what extent? any one has any idea?
2 reasons he told me that now a days cars or short and yen is goin higher ! so price surely b higher in the future ,
kindly help me guys ! how much more money do i have to spend .
and that model of 2004 will not b imported and new shape will b imported than what abt the spare parts?

does vitz tappet needs to be adjusted or r they hydralic...coz my mechanic told me tht they do not have to be adjusted like in civics..or any other usual cars.

Well, It works on better principles cuz they work on GSM alone while it works with GSM + GPRS...

i think vitz 04 is still a better option.. although you will found lots of 03 model 04 vitz are were not imported as much as 03 were, you can go for 03 nothing wrong in it.

n i will recomm 03/04 model because parts are easily available and its much better then 05-onwards model since 03/04 model have got 4 cylinders where as the newer one contains only 3. Also u can expect better resale.

the answers to your questions are :

coz i like the shape of lights and its outlook and secondly it is an up model.
2. How long have you been driving Vitz 2001?
I've been driving it for a year and a half now.
3. Why do you think 2004 is a better experience, drive and/or any other attribute wise?
coz it will be slightly newer and my younger bro has also got it. i feel the difference in its drive. secondly i hae converted it to CNG which i think is not a suitable fuel for the vehicle so i want to keep the new one on petrol.

nah i decided not to sell it. i'll just get another car and keep it as a spare.

you have an 01, not much really different from that to the 04 model. most changes are cosmetic.

I second Storm on that, infact that was the reason for the questions I asked you... If you think the price difference you would have to bear is ok just for cosmetics of the car then it is another scenario, else I think you should stick to it

Sorry for the late reply, I think the tappets are self adjusting, I wanted to confirm it with some mechanic of mine but could not find time, the schedule in Ramazad is hayward as you might be knowing
Anyways, I never felt the need to get the tappets set, so I believe they are hydraulic.

Dude you are right on interested, wrong on technical. lol. My job is to play with figures (nothing to do with baywatch though), being an accountant Anyway the thing looks good (Y) definitely a cost-effective alternative to trekker.
