Its a DIY job bro the belts are exposed just take some oil and do it

Exact same problem with my Vitz as well. Same "jheenger" choo choo random sound. Ad it comes when its neutral or when its on d with break paddle pushed. It goes away as soon as i press the accelerator. So yesterday i had to go out of city about
500kms and when i came back, its already gone..
Maybe its because all these cars come from sea side and the belts get that dryness and due to extremely hot weather now a days with a/c on, they get more dry.
I will follow Huzaifa's advice if it happens again. Thanks!!

Aoa,

Everybody here ,i have a vitz 2008 and having problem with the pickup ...the drive is hard in a sense car makes much noise takes much acceleration but in return not running fast...it feels like something is stuck in the exhaust system...is it due to something called catlystic converter??
car is giving 11kmpl now no matter drive with light foot without ac.
please recommend any good mechanic in rawalpindi i bought the car lately never cleaned up the throttle body or anything.
please suggest me something good.

Get catalytic converter removed or cleaned. Ur choice. The mechanic can be suggested by anyone else as m not sure about it

The issue I think is a Clogged Catalytic convertor. In Pakistan there is non-availability of fluids like CataClean that can resolve the colognes issue so the other workaround is to remove the Catalytic convertor , although there are couple of cons attached to it, but there is no other way out atleast what I think.
I brought Cataclean with myself because I knew this is a known issue in Vitz , however I dont have any spare bottle otherwise I could lend you one.
But next time INSHALLAH I will bring 5 to 6 bottles next time as I can see many fellow members are getting effected with this issue.

You dont need a good mechanic unless you have tried following things...
1. Use 05w30 engine oil. Shell helix ultra, havoiline formula or Toyota genuine motor oil that comes in a tin pack.
2. Clean or replace air filter
3. Get your throttle body cleaned asap as it gets some black carbon stuff deposited on it
4. Get your spark plugs cleaned

Try the above things as a good mechanic will also perform these things before going any further.
Here are few things if the performance does not improve.

1. Catalytic converter needs cleaning. Never remove it otherwise it will give a terrible sound.
2. If the fuel filter is blocked, it gives the same problem as yocurs
3. Check the cvt oil. Colour and smell of the oil tells you if you need to change it.

I am from Lahore so no idea about a good mechanic. Just visit nearest auto market and see the workshops yourself if they are repairing vitz and also check if they have a scanner to check computerized cars.

Hello Members,

Can anyone shed some light on the following issue.

Car : Vitz 2010 (CVT tranmission)

1) Start the car
2) Put it on the fan , drive it for couple of miles.
3) Turn on the AC
4) Everything is working fine when the car is in motion sat on 'D' or 'P'
5) A weird sort of a sound like 'jheenger' choon choon choon is coming up when I put my car on 'Neutral'
6) I think it's to do with some belt but I am not entirely sure.

Car is very less driven & genuine mileage of 31k (self import with the help of well known reliable member of Pakwheels)

Can anybody please advise.

As Huzaifa bhai said, May be its belt needs lubrication, or May be its loosened. If u find cracks on the belt in-side wall then Plz change it soon, It would cost u around Rs. 700.

You may also need to clean the CVT filter. A new CVT filter is not available locally (Atleast I've not been able to find one and confirmed by a few guys as well).

The battery of my Vitz 2007 1Ke-fr imported in 2012 would need replacement soon as currently its running the same battery it came with, from Japan. Its maintenance free battery. Can I get the same type of battery in Lahore/Isl? how can I tell if the battery needs replacement before it really dies in the morning one day? I'll appreciate a detailed response along with a proper address for battery purchase and installation.

i got a new Vitz car 1000cc 2010 made. its engine model is 1KR but i want toa apply for its registration but i haven't find engine number.
then i took it to mechanic and there too mechanic didn't find that. Then i took it to Toyota showroom, they said to me that they will charge 3000 to open an engine and then tell us the number. But they are not sure about it too. Kindly anyone can tell me where i find that? where it is chipped on engine ? Rely soon

Get the battery out of your car and open the small caps. Now take a cable and attach it to one terminal and then look carefully inside the battery. Now touch the other end of the cable to other terminal for a secon or two and see if there are any bubbles coming out. Repeat the step until you have checked all the holes. Bubbles means one of the cell is dead and you need to change the battery. If there are no caps to open then you can check the bubbles from outside as well. Don't get scared of the sparks when you touch the other terminal with the cable.

Ok.. Today i went to Toyota centre to get that chun chun sound removed. It wasn't from the belts but from the silencer. They opened all the springs and bolts that keep the silence mounted to the body and applied grease to the springs. Sound was gone.
And i asked the mechanic about your problem and he showed me the catalytic converter filter. He said he needs to remove this and it will definitely solve his problem. Mine was still ok as the filter wasn't that bad.
