Dear friends. I am planning to purchase Vitz 2012 fresh import from Isb/Rwp.
Pls. Advice following,*
1- How's the car for intercity & on long route?
2- Is it fuel efficient & what's average in city/long route?
3- Is it comfortable?*
4- How's drive, some people say it's under power & doesn't cross 120.
5- Availability of Body & Engine parts in Isb/Rwp, are they expensive?*
6- Which version to purchase keeping in mind resale & how's resale?
7. Is it dual vvti & how much gears it has?
8- How's Ac in April l- November.
9- Vitz worth buying? Value for money?*

1.Best 1000cc in city car stylish and comfortable. On Long rout not compareable to toyota corolla. But more comfortable than city or swift.

2.On normal driving with ac on.Now adays it is giving me 14km/l in city and 12 km/l on long routes.
The long rout averagr depends on your style if you drive your car with very light foot on 100km/h it can give you 15-16km/l..
But on normal foot it can not give you above 13km/l.because small engine have high rpm on high speed.Thus on long rout you can get more average on bigger engine cars.

4.Its not underpowered it can easily cross 120km/h even with 5 people
I take it to 160km/h with 4 people.
Its pick increases after 80km/h and maximum from 80-130km/h.

5.Every thing is easily available.

6.Normally present in Pakistan is 1.0 F. Above F is 1.0 F intelligent (with smart key)

1. Not dual vvti.
   Its CVT (continuous variable transmission)
   I.e unlimited gears.

8.Ac is great like corolla.No Problem which ever i season.

Sorry bro, Two things u mentioned are wrong, 1. On long route it easily gives 16 to 18 kms per litre. Second is Cvt doesnt mean unlmtd gears. Vitz auto/cvt has 4 gears as standard, while manual versions have 5 forward. Not unlimited gears bro.

Sure!
Acceleration is a bit better.. 10-15%
Fuel mileage is yet to be noted as I've only driven 30 or so kms on Hi-Octane.
Engine sound is much better. The car feels much lighter! The accelerator is light aswell now. I will surely get Hi-Octane everytime now!

This is the display of fuel average with light foot and ac on and two people on board. . Is this accurate if we measure it using re fueling of empty tank

this is not average. its like when u take off ur foot from accelerator it will change to 99.9. press it once more and it will show you the avg.

Well the whole concept of CVT is unlimited gears...basically its just ratio of two rods overlapping each other...What company does is that it already has some set of ratios of overlapping (gears :D) after certain speed, thats why, you sometimes feel a gear shift when there really isn't any gear. When you press on acceleration there is a delay of 1-2 seconds before the acceleration really kick in, that 1-2 sec is taken by the CPU to calculate a proper ratio of rods (gears :P) for both power and fuel efficient drive. So practically its just the ratios and the CPU decides what ratio should be at that particular moment of time. So we can never have a fixed gears like 4 or 5 shifts in other cars. There will always be a different ratio at different times for that moment. Thats what I like about CVT.

Carry out wheel balancing only once again from a reputable workshop and see if Problem is resolved. Ask if tires need replacement.

If problem still exits, get the drive axles inspected for any damages.

What brake pads are you using? Its normal for the brake pads to touch the disc very slightly. When using low quality brake pads, the pads slightly touching the discs would cause a squealing noise.

Buy Michelin or Bridgestone. Ensue that they are fresh ( not more that 6 months old). The manufacturing date can be read on the tyre side wall.
